Either the settings or I am measuring wrongly, because the BG80 is definitely genuine. Bought it from a reputable online shop. :)

I see... make sure you're doing it on a hard surface like a table so that the hi frequencies are not absorbed.

Any chance someone can post a video on how their racquet tune app is set up and the proper way of strumming or plucking the strings to get a desired frequency?

but 1xxx Hz should be the fundamental and any overtones will be higher frequency than that...

    Any spectrum analyzer-app should do....
At the moment, I use the android app "Spectrum Analyzer" by Keuwl...

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keuwl.spectrumanalyzer

Strum or hit the stringbed with handle of an owl, and find the peak around 1000 hz...

Peaks at 700-900 Hz is a dull old string... Above 1200 Hz is a freshly stringed BG66U at 11,5 or more kg
