How would anyone know there has barely been anyone who's got a hold of one yet.

@ucantseeme 's comment is obviously sarcasm. How do we know which racket you should get? 100zz hasn't even hit the market yet.

Right, but still has some truth in it. We are talking about rackets not the new iphone. Development is sooo slow and if you look for xstiff and hh, the ZFII is still the benchmark and a modern and superb racket.

Definitely the case. I think there's a much much larger performance gap between the best and worst rackets (subjective I know but a lot of the crowd favorites are crowd favourites for a reason) of the past 5+ years than there is between the oldest and the newest top performing rackets.

I bought a BS12 for the first time as it was 'ending' it's life cycle a few years back. The z strike just lately after 2 years of being released. I also picked up a used Tk9900 gen3 and 4u ZF2 ld edition just now. Not once did I check when these rackets were released, I really couldn't care less. More important is to check if they stand up to the current opinion overall that they play as well as any other top racket. Which all these rackets still do albeit with different strengths and weaknesses.

After that it just becomes a case of trial and error to see which racket feels the best for you. In my case it's currently the z strike but maybe a 4u zf2 or 3u tk9900 will change my mind.

In other news, the Duora 8xp hasn't really wowed me so far compared to z strike, and I had assumed that I would adapt to that quicker than the z strike but the reverse has been true. So I guess popular opinion won't always corralate to your own feelings about a racket but that's to be expected from time to time.

100zz should be better than vtzf2 without a compact head. if not, next year YY will introduce 100zz gen2 with compact head, to satisfy the vtzf2 lovers.

Why did the person complain about other people complaining noobs buying “expensive racket”?

Was the person trying to justify his / her decision to buy expensive racket or a extra stiff HH racket?

Not all expensive rackets are head heavy and stiff. My aeronaut 7000B costs more than any non LTD yonex racket but it’s even balanced and medium flex.

My previous statement still stands. People who cant play shouldn’t buy HH extra stiff racket because it will hinder them if anything.

Agree. And even for those who can play, HH & extra stiff is not automatical the type of racket they get the most from.

It looks like a sleeve tattoo you'd see on a roid-head at the gym.

The paint job is so weird, snail swirl kinda feel. Even if the racket is damn good I might not buy just because of this paint jobs, and again half Matt and half glossy. Oh boy!! Yonex what have u done!

I really like the paint job. Looks better than the duora z-strike.
I am just a bit unhappy it is not red so I could properly replace my old Muclepower 100.

I don't know why many dislike compact frame racquet. In fact if you have sufficient and proper technique you'll enjoy it as compact frame racquet easily provide a quick snap and punch feeling..
Yet Z strike is slightly different due to the dual side frame it holds the shuttle longer hence it requires quick snap in every shot. Astrox 100zz frame looks slightly smaller/ thinner at 3 and 9no clock on the frame compared to ax99 as reviewed by clubracquets.. handle is slightly longer as well.. the shaft isn't hollow like other yonex racquet.. they make is smaller.. in fact smallest in yonex history but this time it's filled with material and not hollow..
There is still no replacement for Nanoray a speed up to date where the BP version has came out..
