Could you share a screenshot of such analysis?

In Squash (which is even more of a niche but also fighting to grow) they developed nice tools to see how a match is going on. For example the pulse rate of the players is displayed live. Then there are some heat maps of where the players stand and where they hit the ball and where they aim for. It’s “simple” but nice to have.

is it somehow similar to what is in PBL?

    They show

Jump height in smash and dive distance in dives.
    Speed of smash.
    Heat map of foot movement.
Directed arrows for smashes and drop shots.

    Here's a few examples:

    smashhitpoints.png

    smashplacement.png

    foorehandwin.png

    backhandue.png

BWF used to have a lot of stats on smash winners, net winners, unforced errors etc. but suddenly stopped doing it. I quite enjoyed seeing those stats so it's a shame they regressed in that area.

The most interesting match I've seen so far is Tai Tzu Ying vs Gayatri Gopichand. I had no idea that Pullela Gopichand had a daughter who he's training, it must be tough on her!

The reason it's the most interesting is because she's only 16, ranked 197, but managed to get a game off TTY. It looks like she has the shots, footwork and gameplan to hurt TTY, so if she can improve her consistency then she might be the next An Se Young.

$1,08,270 for Tai Tzu Ying , Sindhu and some other players. That's why, Some of the players playing it even though it is Olympics Qualification period . Even Year ending World Tour Finals does not offer that much money, provided you win it. But here the money is guaranteed even if you lose some of the matches.

I believe that such a league competition is the future of badminton.
Not gonna be in the next 10 years, but in the next 20 years
