If i'm JPN coach, i'd rather bring AyakaMisaki than MayuWakana to Olympic.. they are too suspect. I can say thats the problem with tall players, one day they can perform so well but its hard to be consistent over period of 5-6 days tournament.. If they are given the trust, i'm sure AyakaMisaki is a better choice.

As you can see , most of the JPN top team is ravaged by injuries, from Momota, Yamaguchi , KamuraSonoda, YutaWatanabe. Best hope is in WD. Even Kobayashi i heard is injured. Not to mention why MayuWakana didnt participate in last week tournament.

Shi Yuqi seems to be injecting pace only when forced to, and now in G3 he's showing signs of slowing down, stamina not as good as before?

Actually, G2 demonstrated what Shi Yuqi is capable of when he's on top of his game; apparently, he's not quite able to maintain that level throughout the match yet.

Man this SYQ vs Angus match is so good..All out attacking and each going hammers and thongs at each other. is so unlike typical MS match.

and SYQ being imo the most handsome looking player in badminton scene is garnering interest from the home support.

Suddenly, SYQ mustering up energy at the crucial stage to spurt to the finishing line.

At one point in G3 when Ng Kah Long lost a clear lead and was overtaken by SYQ, Du Pengyu on courtside was noticed gesturing animatedly and, probably, shouting instructions to NKL in between points.

Even if he cannot maintain his old level of play for the full match it is good to see him play that good for a game at least. It is encouraging for him. Let's hope it keeps improving.

Oh, I didn't see that part, that shows how committed DPY is in his new appointment as the HK coach, a new chapter in his career. Btw, the coach is not supposed to talk directly (standing up and close to) to the player except during breaks at mid-game intervals or in between sets.

Malaysia use Victor brand shuttlecock, Indonesia use Yonex or Li Ning Shuttlecock

Obviously if it happens 3 more times (warning) and this delay and told off by umpire , even if its Rasmusen/Astrup that instigating not to receive. I would say that constitute blatant cheating from LYD. How can he be doing this the whole match?

Even if he cant serve, this constitute trying to gain unfair advantage. If he cant serve, then he should be serving like ZhengYu.. no, his serve is fine, he s just delaying time to disrupt opponent receiver.

Honestly who wants to play against you, if you serve so slow. You only gained victories because there is someone on the other side willing to play against you.
