    That's not difficult though. He's a player surviving on his past. I really feel sorry for Shin BaekCheol though...

    Here is an article/interview (korean) about/with Kim Sa Rang. He suffered with pain of his neck injury for several years and still played and struggled to find a therapy. Even pros have problems of normal humans which come in the way of their career.

    Thanks for sharing the link. Both amazing and freaky how Eastern medicine can treat conditions that Western medicine can't treat or would treat with a scalpel. (Not 100% sure I understood the condition, but sounded like the spine or disc that was out of position in the neck causing chronic pain. A month-long treatment of acupuncture (and possibly other treatments) placed it back in position.)

    Amazing also how he recovered and was able to play really well in the PBL recently.

    Also KGJ played very well. When I compare how error-prone he sometimes was in the past years he really improved at service return and at the net and in the fast game IIRC. Both performed at PBL very well. Hope they find together again.

    Edit:
    If you are interested to see that even pros have time for fun and messy games and don't always see the aspect of improving every second and also don't have a problem to play weaker opponents, visit this channel:

    This will make you think about your attitudes.

    Kim Sa Rang is a very passioned and funny guy. He has all my sympathy. Hope to meet him again.

    @ucantseeme
    Agree on KGJ, he's playing with much less errors now than when he was on the circuit. Fast, flat and furious! When he and KSR were on a roll (without errors creeping in late G2 and G3), they were able to win over many top pairs. I believe they won MAS open and CHN open in 2016.

    About KSR currently at PBL in India, Bengalaru Blasters is really getting their money's worth out of him working hard (and enjoying it all the way) in both MD and XD disciplines. They made it into the finals, will be interesting team matches today!

    Seems like the Kims are returning to world badminton! They are entered in the Japan and Thailand Open, though they didnt make the cut for Japan.
    Exciting times for korean mens doubles fans!

    Great to see them in action again as a pair. In fact, all former national players are back in this tourney which is just fantastic.

    Are Lee Yong Dae and Yoo Yeon Seong playing in this tournament as well?

    They entered but didn't make it off the reserve list, coming out at #15 on the last version. They are only #6 on the reserve list for the Hyderabad Super 100, too, so their next event will be the Akita Masters, where they are in the main draw.

    If anyone is interested, Kim Gi Jung and Kim Sa Rang are in the same team (Mumbai Rockets) in the Premier Badminton League, starting from Monday, 20th January. This means that we will get to see them in action once again for what may be the last time.
