It seems Firman is about to follow Ikhsan Maulana Mustofa footstep of resigning from the NT training camp, after performing so poorly the last few years.

Is it the first time this year that the score reaches 30?

21-10, 21-17, a two straight sets victory over Son Wan Ho by Sun Feixiang, too bad, no livestream to watch proceedings.

It is a shame that the match was played on Court 3. It seems as though Shi Yuqi is finding his footing, though, which is great news for MS.

Once again, Zhang Yiman is getting the better of her compatriot,Wang Zhiyi, who seems to perform better against the foreign opponents.

His match against another compatriot Zhao Junpeng will be played on court 2, we can follow and evaluate how Shi YQ performance so far. The lefthander Zhao looked so sharp to destroy Tanongsak last night.

An interesting MS quarter clash will pit Sun Feixiang - who succeeded to stun Son Wan Ho - against Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, 2016 WJC final rematch.

A bit concern for Wang ZY who pocketing second time defeat to the underachiever senior Zhang YM. Wang was so passive, error proned and lethargic how she dealed with Zhang, wrong strategy and less determination by the teenager.

I'm glad to see that Shi Yu Qi won his match today too.

    Woops. Wrong year.

I'm glad to see that Shi Yu Qi won hismatch today too. Not as happy that Son Wan Ho lost somewhat early.

A tough opponent awaits Shi Yuqi tomorrow, a possibly big hurdle in Kantaphon Wangcharoen.

A rare case, without INA & JPN pairs participation, China MD can flying high particularly their number one Li JH/Liu YC who stagnating at the moment, being quarterfinalist and semifinalist regularly since they marched to final in Bangkok. Ou/Zhang succeeded to topple world number 10, Lee Y/Wang CL. All China final is really possible scenario.

As expected, he will meet biggest stumbling block tomorrow, recent World Champs bronze medalist Kantaphon Wangcharoen who eliminates his junior Kunlavut Vitidsarn in two close games, 21-19 / 21-19. Zhao Junpeng only delivered little trouble but scoring free points regularly for his teammates. An average performance by Shi YQ, still lack of speed and accuracy, it's understandable issue since he just getting back to feel competition atmosphere.

Another CHN-THA semifinal clash, Sun Feixiang takes on Sittikom Thammasin. The on-fire Sun tackles Chicho Aura Dwi Wardoyo, 21-10 and neck to neck until 18-17 then the Indonesians commited three consecutive errors. Similar fashion to Kodai Naraoka, the Japanese promising prospect failed to force rubber games, couldn't maintain his leading way in second game, 13-21 / 18-21.

Michelle Li stays on course, the Canadian outwits Cai Yanyan who fails to break any breakthrough in last 12 months. Kim Ga Eun possibly will pose dangerous threat for the top seed in her campaign to defending title here. CHN last WS standing Han Yue overcomes more experienced Busanan Ongbamrungphan and will take on Natsuki Nidaira to seek final spot.

Women's doubles semifinal is going to script, top four march on with two Chinese pairs, Du Y/Li YH also Li WM/Zheng Yu against Indonesia Haris/Pradipta and Thailand number one Kititharakul/Prajongjai respectively. A good test for Chinese combinations following their strength in this category started to wane recently.

Chinese Taipei mixed doubles pairs present decent feat, Wang/Cheng surprised more fancied rival Faizal/Widjaja while Lee JH/Hsu YC troubling favourites Thail duo, Puavaranukroh/Taerattanachai. Just graduated from WJC 2019 recently, the gold medalists Feng YZ/Lin FL show their potential to stun HKG top-ranked Tang CM/Tse YS in three games.

Shi's defense is looking really solid. Kantaphon is running out of options it looks like almost for a bit.

Hmm, seems like fitness might become an issue for Shi. Otherwise he's got KW totally in his pocket, which is a great sign after such a long absence. This is like watching some bare knuckle bruiser against a real professional.
