Definetly lighter than duora 10. I have both and the 99 is very light even lighter than my 88d Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
i just got my astrox 99 4u with BG 80 power 27lbs string tension on it. this is my first 4u racket and it feel amazing on hand . i play both single and double... can't wait to try it out today
@KLFreedom I personally prefer my own 4u AX88D for doubles and 4u AX99 for singles (or slow doubles). If you think a 3U AX88S is a little too heavy, I would suggests a 3U AX77 blue with a relatively more flexible shaft to help you out. When you said you don't like the feeling of 4U AX88D, I presume you don't like its harder feeling compared to AX88S and AX99; perhaps you could use a softer string (66, 66 force, 68Ti) to reduce the hard feeling.
@jctai the Astrox 99 4u that you are using for this comparison, is the latest 99 (New 99 or 99 LCW) or the first version of 99?
Oh right, if not mistaken, then its the first batch of 99's. They are head heavy compared to the current version of 99 or the 99 LCW. Current LCW should be similar to 88D in terms of HH
I confirm 99LCW 4u is the same as 88D 4U in terms of weight. 88D has a the balance just a little bit 1-2mm different that makes it slightly head heavier. Stiffness is also almost the same. 99LCW bents in the middle of the shaft, 88D closer to the handle. So, defence and attack are pretty the same. Hope, this helps
I have 2 AX99 4U, bought this year This is a completely different story.. Much heavier.. much, much much... I'll try to weight them one day Yes, the tension is 26x28lbs, Aerobyte I play badminton for 25 years already Just for you to understand my profile
