I thought they are still slated to play in Ct2, Last match? Today is the FuzhouOpen draw, tournaments coming thick and fast.
Fuzhou China Open draw of minions https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/draw.aspx?id=D3303F12-E5BF-4D78-BB58-9E1236DD64A1&draw=3 (based on seeding) R1 : Goh/Tan R2 : He/Tan or Ivanov/Sovonov QF : Han/Zhou or Hoki/Koba? SF : Li/Liu or Endo/Wata? F : Ahsan/Hendra or Ou/Zhang?
Minions won their first match against Liao/Su in straight games 21-18 21-18. Watching it with eyes half closed.. They didn't seem like warmed up enough yet. Some good rallies but most of the time, errors from both side. Kevin even Marcus and the opponents. If anyone could find a link to the replay, kindly let me know.
I guess Marcus feel much more confident with coloured hair lol. Can't stay natural for too long. ---------------- Marcus : We are still adapting ourselves with the shuttle. The shuttles here are faster than in other tournaments. One key factor of our win today was we were more prepared mentally. Even though we were behind the opponents, we could still be calmer than them. They will be facing Ben Lane/Sean Vendy (ENG) in the next round. Marcus : They must be strong as they defeated Hoki/Kobayashi, so we can't let our guard down. The shuttle was very fast here, it wasn't easy to play here. We have to control the shuttle well so we don't make many unforced errors. Kevin : Sure we want to defend our title here. But we will just go step by step. I hope we can get the best result. Since this will help us to the World Tour Finals and the Olympics too. (Denmark Open 2019) Kevin/Marcus Sukses Atasi Laga Pertamanya (Odense, 15/10/2019) Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon sukses melangkahkan kaki ke babak dua Denmark Open 2019. Cuma jalani step by step saja.
The way i see this arena is its the fastest arena, even faster than Istora, Control is very difficult. The way their speech they are never too confident of their abilities. Step by step lol. step by step to 24th SS titles hopefully so. I believe 6Finals, 5 titles are already great for Minions.. Cant expect them to have 8-10 Finals every year. If they can have more, its great. On the contrary AhsanHendra also reached a lot of Finals but they lost most of them if they play Minions. Of course, that is expected since they are old pair, they are not expect to win titles but more of to enjoy their times together. AllEngland and WC is more than enough for them at their age While LiLiu expected to win titles when they reached SF but whats up with string of SFs?Looking at the DO draw, they are auto SF. Should have the best chance of winning DO.
"We'll take it one step at a time" or "step by step" is what they always say all the time. They seemed to have difficulty controlling the shuttles yesterday. The same thing to be said about the opponents too as Liao/Su is also another fast attacking pair but with less refinement. Sounds to me they are being cautious and careful handling the playing conditions which is a good thing.
I wonder how long will minions be wearing this race flag jerseys.. Till the HK Open? Last year I remember they wore new jerseys at WTF
They need to get more titles with these jerseys before yonex gives them new ones, Yonex: let's finish this race off on the podium at WTF Minions: we hope we qualify
Well I desperately hope they qualify too. I am curious to see what ugly(er) design Yonex has waiting for them at the finish line
Something like this? Still, minions are 4 tournaments behind Fajar/Rian. I just hope they won't overwork or injure themselves.
