Hi, I have been using Li-ning ranger speed (AYAN017) shoes for around 3 months. First impression is the grip of the shoes was very good, I would say it is one of the strongest point of the shoes. However, after a couple of months, the outsole wears off very quickly and the shoes unfortunately become very slippery.

For information, I weigh 70 kilos and play 2-3 times a week on average. I clean the outsoles with damp cloth every time when I return home. The outsoles of my other shoes, the Asics gel blade 6, which I also use for almost 6 months now is in a better condition.

So is it just me or Li-ning shoes have durability issues, especially in terms of outsoles? The "Bionic gloove grip" technology which Li-ning promotes felt really good at first, but seems like they don't really last that long at all.

Very well known issue with LN translucent outsole.
LN have acknowledged the problem themselves and have been tweaking the formula after each gen.

Worn 1 Ranger and 2x Ranger 2.0 as my main shoes for the past 3 years and can attest there's the slightest improvement. Nothing worth noting tbh.

Haven't tried their latest 3.0 or 4.0 to know for the better.

    i just purchased a ranger 4..

yes, i too find li ning shoe having this slippery issue despite no worn or so.

i like their shoe as its wide and suitable for flat feet like myself but...
before each game, i will clean the sole with soap and left to dry..
however.. there's really no grip.. the sole kinda shine.. i guess harden?

i'm not sure if its the wooden flooring that we are playing but it seems, i'm the only one having this issue..
    can't stop well..

but my wife's li ning cloud, seems to be doing very good even after 2 years

How’s the comfort and cushion like in the ranger 4.0?

the comfort and cushion is good, even better than the one i had (li ning Dagger, drive foam )
price is half of what i paid for the Dagger..

the ankle support is good, fiction is good (probably only 2 days old)

i used it over the weekend, around 5 hours, simply love the shoe.

strongly recommended for someone who is looking for wide and flat footed..
if you notice, most of the li ning insoles are pretty flat..
hence, it works very well for flat footer

Does Ranger 4.0 has the same cutting with dagger? I use 275mm size for sonic boom 1st gen, 2nd gen and dagger. Looking foward for ranger 4.0 black. very tempting.
    .
However I wear 280-285mm for yonex, Victor and Mizuno shoes.

    nope, totally different.

dagger is higher cut, meant to protect the ankle.
they even have cushion for all surrounding especially the tongue area.
so literally, it wrap the feet well..
you can't tie too tight or the feet will hurt

while Ranger, have better cushioning at bottom.
i feel even better than the pro claim: drive foam (dagger)

so far, my review for yonex:
dont really suit flat footer.. average cushioning only.
Victor, pretty good but still prefer li ning
mizuno, never tried before.. kinda expensive.. :D

after 2 years of badminton, i own 4 pair of badminton shoes..
    3 li ning and 1 RCL ;)

Considering this, anyone have tried Li Ning Shadow Blade Pro's latest gen? The one used by Shi Yuqi and Li Junhui btw.

Also, considering the advances in the transparent outsole, any experience of the durability of the outsole? Thx in advance

I happened to find this post. I have flat foot and obviously wide feet. I saw sonic boom 2.0 for good price. Worth or should try sonic boom 3.0 ?
