Someone could please tell me whether this is a real or fake. Bought it on Amazon.in for Rs 5800(80$). Saw the racquet bag and it definitely looked fishy to me. The code written was KTU S2. I will be getting a refund if it turns out to be a fake. Seller was - Sports Expert.
Especially the grommets are red and silver color, quality seems quite sturdy though. But mostly I have seen only black grommets and mine had red and silver grommets. @Carbonex_7 please could you verify it

    Thank you[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

The different colored grommets at the top are normal (shows the stringer where to start). The paint errors look really weird, never had anything like it on any original racket.

So it is a fake, isn't it? Are the red colored grommets normal thing to have, as I have seen only black colored ones. Also what are the paint errors?

5th picture from the bottom, where the red ovals don't line up with the grommets...that makes it a bit unlikely to be an original to me. The grommet colors themselves I wouldn't worry about too much, 1st gen shipped with different ones for different batches

If the racket is original then you got it for a great deal. $80 for a high end racket is amazing.

I measured the balance point unstrung with grip intact. It came to be 295mm. Did the actual N55 had the same BP. If it is then may be it is a well made fake

This photo is the one present on e1981.com
@j4ckie do you think that now it could be the real one, as this one is also having the same paint error. [IMG]

Unwrap the grip and check the wooden handle for any production date codes ink stamped onto it. If the wooden handle is blank then it's a fake.

Here. There are some chinese characters and 13 5 2011 is on it [IMG]

This one was with N55 written on it(faded because I was wiping the sticky part of grip with alcohol) and also has some numbers written with pen 681329 it seems

Okay that seems pretty legit. Idk, maybe the N55 had trouble with the paint, it's one of the first Gens I didn't have so I can't say for sure...
