Seems PVS is the first WS player in the world to reach QF in the first 6 WC appearances.

honestly the way GVS and TWK are playing, just sad to watch. Think they allowed ego to affect them too much, always trying to prove that they can smash harder, play faster but it gets to their head when they finally realize that they are doing the wrong thing. You can see the frustration on coach Chew's face. Embarrassing.

As long as rian didn't make that many mistake (at least in his serve) I think they have a good chance tomorrow.

I don't know why they didn't just take the pace off on many occasion, clearly fajar/rian got the better of them in the service situation and in the flat game. also I don't know what happen with their defense, I mean the english pair chris/langridge were doing better defensively yesterday.

will He Bing Jiao make a miracle today?

She has been sleeping for quite a long time, is it time to prove herself? Her position as a stepchild in the Chinese national team was really devastating, not being played at all in the Sudirman Cup (even though it could help her get a sizable Olympic point). S

has good skills, just how to play consistently without unnecessary errors.

Then you have no idea about the coaching strengths of Team Japan. Actually this comment had me laughing, ... which is always a good way to start the morning. :)

PJB is a legend in his own right and has done wonders for the training set-up and reinforcement of the Japanese team, ... and this is not to mention the emotional support he gives to players. But, just in case you are not aware of it, he is not renowned for being a singles coach.

And before you write off Sato Shoji, let me just advise that he was considered good enough to be appointed as the singles coach for Team Japan at the Rio Olympics, ... appointed by PJB, no doubt. Sato stopped coaching the national team shortly after the Olympics, probably in order to resurrect NTT-East (Momota's and Sato's principal affiliation), as the corporate team had almost been destroyed by the gambling scandal.

Just watched Yeo Jia Min's game; she barely scrapes past Vu Thi Trang.

That was a nerve wracking game to watch! She started running out of steam in the second game and I thought she was at serious risk of crumbling at the beginning of the third game and after the midway interval but manages to hold on playing at around 60% of her peak energy. Very fortunate that VTT doesn't have that much offensive capabilities to punish YJM effectively for her decreased pace and also her 4 fault receivers.

Haven't watched winner of RI/GTT but honestly it does not look good for her next game. Worried about a possible back injury also just being tired after being forced to work hard in her second game.

You dont have to wait long. The moments I mean are at 3-3 and 5-5 in the first game :D

Hm. Or maybe before being derisive, you could take a step back and think next time (it will get easier with time, I promise). Just consider that I didnt actually say Sato was a bad coach, or worse than PJB....and honestly, who would feel neglected when an absolute legend of the sport is coaching them?
