Nope, Marcus did everything he can. But the opponents were too good at isolating him and consistently mount pressure on him to force him to make uncharacteristic mistakes. Not every Indo player is Hendra or Kevin.
No, and I wouldn't even bet my money on ahsan/hendra after the dissapointing performance in rio 3 years ago. I don't think INA will get the gold at tokyo, I think li/liu gonna win it.
makes me feel so old to see so many former international top players at this WC as coaches, with their ballooned up bodies: Zakry Latif (scary how big he has become), Anthony Clark. Choong Tan Fook still looks fit, so is Nathan Robertson.
I'd say shoulder and to a lesser extent upper body mobility play a role, but I dont think either is related to upper body size/mass. I think it's a mix of habit and reaction time (maybe even strategy to conserve energy).
I've already replied to that post as well... Also, ''natural'' or any other service position (racket down, blah x 3) is not in the rules anymore -- you just have to hit the shuttle below 1.15m.
If INA can bring one gold medal home, I will be happy. But, INA peoples will still curse minions. I am afraid that INA peoples won't trust minions again.
Lol fair like Japanese and Chinese. Of course. Losing a match etc purposely is very fair. I forgot how hypocrite people are.
that is true. but WC isnt everything. they can try again next time just like LCW and LYD always did. Maybe its Kevin blessing with other partner. But they wont win astonishing number of titles anymore. Something gotta give. Imo, continuous money flow is more important than just 1 title
Why would I be happy? I simply said it remains to be seen whether they can perform on the big occasion, under that pressure. So far they havent shown they can, but they have at the very least one chance left (Kevin should have quite many, Gideon - depends on his body and if he can make adjustments once he starts slowing/breaking down). I actually predicted them to win...this is a surprise for sure. I have not pegged them as a mentally weak pair, but there is a trend of underperformance in majors by now.
I don't know what you mean by dirty or less gentlemanly tactics -- but slow services are clearly the right tactic against fidgety players who have trouble staying still or focused, or appear too eager to attack the service. It's in the rules that the receiver is NOT allowed to move while the server is getting ready to serve -- you'll only ''re-start'' the service action/ countdown if you do, and the server can AGAIN make full use of the 5-10s they have when you are NOT allowed to move -- so the whole thing just starts again if the receiver keeps moving or complaining.... I mean, even the Ever-ready bunny Sonoda can make himself to obey this rule.
Absolutely true.....on the dark net, gamblers were cursing why gildeon did not get red carded for throwing his racquet...
