Haha, I am relieved to hear that. Still not providing the technology(grommet) present in the spec list. They should atleast correct that from their website and other presentations. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
Which is why I never go on Yonex intl site other than to see the EX colors for a shoe or etc. Always yonex.co.jp and nothing else. Ok and maybe KR.
Fret not. It was released without the strip on top as compared to the promotional material. My existing 8XP was bought on launch day and it never had the strip either. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
same, can confirm both my DUO8XP does not have the magicky duo-grommet strip ...which from what my stringer tells me cannot even be ordered separately lol
It honestly doesn't need it. The 8XP stock grommets are excellent. A lesson YY needs to learn for everything being released right now. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
You can order AC416-DUOB. It has the strip. The ZFII Strips are also not a available separate If you wann orig. YY.
Using it with 3u zforce 2 these days and this racket is very easy to complement zf2. I do daily wall drills with both the rackets. Current string is gosen gpro70
Well, with this one I am in love with Compact head racquets. If all other compacts play like this when the shuttle is hit by the sweetspot then I am all in with them. 3UG4 shaved it off to G5. My first compact and I am quite happy with it. Dry BP was 297mm Strung with the LN No 1 at 27x29 The way it swings, has nice slight head weight to aid your swings. I am using the VT10DG(Dry Bp 330mm) and the DUO8XP is a little less compact in comparison to it but is faster. Using it in Doubles and singles and this works great in both. Stiffness is approximately somewhat similar to the N7II perhaps and slightly less stiffer than AX88D. Power is there provided your technique is on spot. Similar to AX88D 4U. I am too happy with this one, really a great racquet Piques my interest in ZF2 and NF800(but alas no 3U options in India) Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
It is more aero dynamically sound than vt10dg. More refined feel. Doesn't feel as bulky as vt10dg. Try e78 for zf2 3u.
Then that is great, because VT10DG is currently heaviest in my bunch, and surely I cannot handle more than that(well I did say the same to myself when I moved to the N80II, and then came the VT10DG) will try the 4U first though as @swsh has warned me against 3U Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
Hi guys, is the 8xp an upgrade over dzs in any way but ease of use? I feel i can play well with it and i like the feel, sometimes i miss-time full smashes on a bad day but i can feel the frame whipping even while stick smashing. If I'm happy with dzs should i switch? No chance to try it out first btw, nobody has one
Going to get the 8XP and Z-Strike restrung soon (both new rackets to me). I can already feel that the 8XP is heavily dampened which I want to try counteract as much as possible to get more feedback out of the stringbed. I usually get BG-80 @28lbs on all my rackets. Should I go for 30lbs on the 8xp to get more feedback? Is BG-80 the best string for feedback on this racket? As it's hard feeling and rough textured it should suit this racket well I'd imagine. Any advice from 8XP owners is appreciated!
How can you feel that it is heavily dampened, when both rackets are new to you? High end rackets come without strings attached? I recommend to use your string set up at 28lbs. With 30 you can't compare properly side by side. 2 lbs more may increase some feel, but will mean a smaller sweet spot and harder to generate power. Always use you default set up first as a fair assessment, for several reasons 28 is your go-to and not 30.
