Not good enough. There is no urgency to win to extend the tie vs JPN. Sad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
But I think it was a much better performance from Ginting. He could change his tactic during the game when one didn't work. Playing long patient rallies and seize the right time for attacking. He used to be quite useless in slower condition but he is making a lot of improvement. If he could keep this up and reduce his silly mistakes, he might just be able to be a top player sooner than later.
One thing i notice in Ginting is he often lost the first game especially in those 50-50 matches ( Like against LD/wangch/NgKL) i think he needs better attitude in approaching games rather than having that catching up mindset.
"Hahahahah what kind of coach is this, how can you say momota is nothing special and just a safe player, when he's consistently winning tournament ? maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the coach supposed to be smart ?" that's basically what he said on the comment, taufik got criticized a lot for his comment here.
Well I kind of agree with the coach though. The last two Ginting's losses to Momota had been because of his own errors instead of playing the wrong tactic. And I thought a "legend" player supposed to be smart
Then how do you explain Kento’s rise to domination after his ban so quickly? He is no fluke a quality player with many weapons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do I really need to explain his domination? It was there for everyone else to see. But what the coach meant was another thing differently. Ginting has lost to many players, not only to Momota. So obviously Ginting's problem isn't Momota, but his own lack of focus at times. How many mistakes he had made and cost him the matches?
Probably responding to Ginting's last match in SC. It was just quoted by the author. If you read what he said in the interview he said both Ginting and Christie didn't need to change their gameplay but need to be more focused.
It doesnt have to be gold but if they can get Olympic Medal, it will be great. It will increae their popularity to stratosphere.
All he needs are better consistency and reduced unforced errors. IMO, technically he is one of the finest, but mentally one of the weakest in terms of maintaining focus and concentration. All the best to Tokyo
