Masterclass from Momota, he totally took his legs off him,SYQ was in trouble midway through game 2,
the skill and efficiency is frightening when he's in this kind of form, it's disheartening your best efforts are coming back with interest,
Axelsen sums it up best last time they met where in the mid game interval totally demoralised,
he repeatedly said ''i don't know what to do?.''

    Classic Momota-san.

Played hard first game and got his opponent to use up as much of his energy as possible with the proviso being that if Kento did not manage to win the game then no matter as by the beginning of the second game, he would hopefully see Shi Qu Yi starting to tire and so it was proved to be with Kento breaking his opponent's spirit and resilience to win it 21-19. Thereafter, the third game was a foregone conclusion.

A couple here said Momota is easy to play against, his style already studied by so many.

It is still not easy. Fast and furious is one solution but can you last that long? He will baits you to play some very long rallies on purpose and that means you, losing power and speed as the match goes on.

I don't think he up his defence at all, just that the opposition lose the speed, power and deception makes it easier for him to read.

Are you counting only the matches with different countries facing each other?
