After that **** show, that's really difficult, tbh. There've been matches where TTY has been better without a doubt and all you can say is "well done", but today? Jesus...
Yamaguchi bottled it against TTY. A game up and 20-16 in the second, there is no way a world-class player should go on to lose it 24-22 and then again 17-13 up in the third game, losing it and the match 21-19.
Impervious from TTY. A definite game plan not to attack. Hardly there is a smash or net kill even if there is a chance. Looked like she wanted to play as long as possible. Still couldn't believe why Yama didn't close the match in 2nd set.
Akane is the best retriever in the world . Wherever you push it, she will be there to pick it and return back with amazing quality.
Or perhaps her coaches saw what happened when Inthanon’s strong attacking game was neutralized and countered by AY and decided to use a different strategy. Regardless, another Houdini-esque escape by the master.
It's frankly ridiculous that two unseeded pairs get to play on TV court while the World Champions play the world #1 on the side court. #onlyinbadminton
The master? If she were truly the master, she would not need to make so many Houdini-esque escapes and would instead boss every game in every match. No. She is far from being the complete article. A very good player yes but in no way a dominant force in women's badminton for years to come.
So salty? lol But a win is a win...just remember everyone gets tired. Even KM can’t dominate each game of every tournament.
That statement is not even worth a comment. WS is by far the most competitive discipline, all-time greats (that's what TTY, RI, CM, AY, PVS, SN, NO are) battle it out basically every tournament, the physical aspect has been extremely amplified by players like CM, PVS, AY and the Chinese youngsters, yet TTY still dominates the game. She's the best female player to ever pick up a racket and it's not even close. And I say that while my own favourite player just mucked it up against her.
It's definitely refreshing to see Coach Zhao Yunlei up close ...... yup, my new Olympus binoculars are really worth the money spent on them.
