This the 1st time i need to replace my racket grommet. Some of it already breaking & few times i snap my string on the same spot near the grommet.

But as the original is colored transparent white & i cant find the same color, i think how about to change all of it. Afterall i have restring my racket over & over but never change it.

    So my question is
    1. How often we should replace the grommet
    2. Does grommet from different brand/racket type (AX, ARC, VT, NR) is different or it all general use & would fit on any racket.
    3. How much the cost for these grommet along with the service charge for whole racket? Does $8 (USD) would be normal? My friend told me its overcharge & he once ask that its only $2. But im afraid that the store use cheap grommet.

    What racquet do you have?

There are standard grommets for many rackets, which have to be adjusted in length, or special grommets for a single racket, which have exactly the right length.

Yonex full set for one racket costs about $10. To exchange all the grommets takes a half hour. Especially when they are already quite broken, not a nice job.

My racket is Lining Mega Power UC5000.
Kinda old one. Never change the grommet from when i buy it but just rotate it a little.

You can usually replace a few broken ones, and then turn the remaining ones approx. 60 degrees.

    Much easier and faster.

And you can do this a couple of times...

Sent from my StringLab using TapaTalk.
