Good job, cxytdn, and thanks for the effort, really appreciate it. One small point, the text colour yellow is not easy on the eye, a darker colour is preferable. I think.
the yellow really kill my eyes..btw something wrong w/ indonesia winner prize...WS only 4,4K and MD 105K....
there's nothing wrong. It shows the total prize Indonesian players got from BWF world tour 2018. Compare to INA's MD which had already win 3 tournaments, Indonesian WS rarely win/achieve anything.
yeah the font, the yellow thing and also the table header(still 2017 tournaments) need to be updated, I think. really appreciate it, thanks @cxytdn
Wow.. looking at the chart, badminton players aren't really making much out of tournaments. No wonder parents nowadays feeling somehow more and more reluctant to let their precious child(ren) to pursue a professional sport player career. Yes, if you could hit the jackpot which in badminton equals to winning Olympic medals, your future would be secured financially. But the probability to get there is so low in 99% (perhaps even lower) of the cases, it is like a gamble. Kudos to parents who have been willing to let their children pursue their dreams and supporting them with all their heart. We are really really grateful to them for allowing those exceptional gifts and talents of their beloved children to be shared with us the rest of the world. All the best to all the athletes.
actually for me one of the greatest appeals in badminton is, that this sport is not so commercial as european football, tennis for example or galore of other sports. If you would be winning Olympic medals that means You would be famous and cashing in lots of money, more than you can spend , but you do not have to win everything to have decent life from badminton, you can be quite decent then start coaching amateurs which is really profitable and to have really self fulfilling life and even in badminton. so it is quite understandable that lots of parents are letting their kids to practice badminton, especially having in mind how it enriches not only physically but mentally as well, so it is very understandable. And I do hope that badminton will not become so commercial as some other sports.
Yeah, money is not everything but when players worked hard and win games and cash bonus, it does help to motivate the players and parents. In Malaysia, we have a problem where WBF have distributed the cash prizes for 2018 but it has not been distributed to the winners yet because the treasurer of BAM claims they have not received the payout list yet. So they don't know who to pay and the amount. If only they know such info is also available here. The issue was highlighted earlier in 2018, the President of BAM investigated but no verdict yet. Unbelievable.
