Well you can access to an X-ray machine if you are a doctor or a X-ray technician. :) Great stuffs.. hope can see more of these Xray pics of different kind of rackets.. including the Mps , Ats and the latest Nanos.

yeah. was wondering about that. these days x-rays are not film based anymore and they can take lots of x-ray with very little cost..

i wonder whom i know who works in an x-ray lab.. hm..... :)

Not the structure.. maybe just whats inside the racket , it will be better if few sections of the racket can be magnified..

I think you need elec. x-ray + mag. devices to see nano stuff :)

most flaws are internal cosmetics and dont really affect performance

Yes, ultrasound picks up microscope cracks in the graphite structure.

    x-ray of yonex and sotx

What we've seen in the x-ray are probably true. I agree with twobeer's statement that the compared models of yonex and sotx are basically different. The SOTX shown here is the STB 5086 model. I don't speak for SOTX, but this model is at the lower end of the SOTX lines. I believe this model really has no Titanium T-joint. Only the SOTX Titanium Series, the Charm series and their top of the line Power Boss (woven) have this metallic T-joint. Correct me if I'm wrong please. The comparison was not FAIR.

If patent hasn't run out! I seem to remmberYonex patent Garphite process in the beginning, and then the patent ran out - then came all those manufatures of graphite racquets, where previously only a few were willing/could afford the price ie Carlton etc

for certain application, like rackets, xray is better. IMO

That's a freaking expensive QC! Last time I checked with a private clinic it cost Cdn 700 to scan a knee!!! A MRI machine costs 2.5 million U.S.

I am just wondering if anyone knows how much a picture of x-ray would cost? (like the above badminton racket):)

Is it like hospital x-rays? (from my experiences, it's like $40 dollars before health insurance came in, but that's in different sizes :p)

Electron microscope may not be that hard 2 use actually however the racket would need to be cut up into cross sections

ive used them before quite a few times however i never tried to cut a racket up cos to expensive anyways the microscope only cost £750,000

each reckons they will let me hava play on it ? least i no how 2 use it:D

IMHO, nanotubes consists of fullerene molecules that cannot be seen by X-ray or magnetic devices.
