I have both 88s and 88d at 4ug5 and 88d 3u g5. I used to use the LDF racket with bg66um bg80 bg99. IMO the Astrox 88 3u and 4u are very easy to use . Drives, drop clears smashes are easy to execute. The diff between LDF and the 88s, 88D are timing. You will need to spend some time with both the rackets in order to get the timing right. with the right timing you will see how powerful your shots are.
Hi there, I've heard that the VTLDF has a longer shaft when compared to other rackets. Would anyone be able to provide a visual comparison of the shaft length between the VTLDF and Arcsaber 10?
I have been using this racket for 4 months now and it gives me more and more solid feel each time i play. Until now i still love to use it as it produce impressive smash and deliver perfect control. It is also quite fast at defensive and offensive. Anyway, i will try the astrox(AX99) series by this week as a replacement for voltric racket. Well, hope the new Astrox gives me the same solid and control feel or even better performance with it.
I have both VTLDF and AX88D, both 4UG5 and strung with BG66 Force at 26lbs. I can say both are great racquets, the only different I can feel is 88D slightly lighter and move a bit faster than VTLDF, I believe it is because VTLDF is more heavy head.
Interesting. I love the ldf but would like something a bit faster... Maybe the 88d is what I need....
The ldf is definitely more head heavy, and a bit too slow at the front, but 88d can handle the front nicely due to the slightly lighter head and faster speed compared to the ldf.
Saw a review on YouTube for the ax99. But I wonder if it will be too stiff for me. I like a little flex like in the ldf.
I can't comment on the ax99, since I haven't tried it myself. But I've spent quite some time with my 88d, it is definitely faster than LDF, however LDF has more punch in the smashes. 88d is not too flex, but not too stiff either. I can feel a bit more flex in full swing, but a little stiffness when flicking.
Have 88D and VTLDF 3U strung with BG66 Force at 26lbs. IMO, 88D is better the racket for doubles. The only area I would say VTLDF is better is in smash power (where VTLDF is only slightly better) but 88D makes up for this by being easier to quickly execute consecutive /continuous powerful smashes and less tiring for it. In saying that .. For me at least.. There was a slight learning curve before I could access those smashes..
have they stopped making the Lin Dan Force (black or gold) ? so whatever is in the stores is the last stock? can anyone confirm?
you are comparing the LDF 4u and A88D 3u? if the A88D3u is faster than LDF 4u that means the A88D is less HH than LDF?
oh ok because i read old post back in the LDF thread and you mentioned u only had the LDF 4u, you must have also tried the 3u version too
