But its not easy to beat home player. If people said Ginting got tough draws , its true as well, But being in Final dont mean you will win it. Sometimes silver is more sad than bronze.
Yeah, me too. I don't understand about getting silver is worse than getting a bronze thing. If you were a player, of course silver is much better than bronze. Silver medalist means you have won one match more than the bronze medalist. It's only those who never really compete in this kind of level of competition that would never appreciate how hard it is to win a silver.
A lesson from Chou Tien Chen is never give up even if you achieve nothing significant when you are already 28 year old (yes, he is only one year younger than the veteran Chen Long). If you try hard enough, eventually, It will come your time to make a mark. I guess if he was a Chinese (PRC not RoC), he would retire when he was 24 at most. I wonder if Bao Chunlai, Du Pengyu, Wang Zhengming, or Tian Houwei were not Chinese, maybe they would be a finalist or a champion in a major tournament.
Tbh I haven't had the chance to watch ASG matches in the AG. But taking out KM and CL along the way in the individual event is definitely a feat. As for JC, caught his match against CL in the team finals. Quite impressed with his play, especially with his attacks. Two rising young MS players for INA. If they continue to improve n keep up their performance, they stand a good chance to rise to the top echleons of badminton MS. There will also be more medals and titles coming their way too Sent from my MI 6 using Tapatalk
IMO It's sad because it's perceived as losing the gold. Which, of course, is understandably disappointing. But in another view, winning a silver medal means the player is a finalist. Whereas a bronze medal is a semi - finalist. So which is better? To me it's the silver medal (finalist) Sent from my MI 6 using Tapatalk
The MS final is a joke. I think if LCW saw this he'll have trouble breathing regardless of his illness...
I think Lijunhui is very muscular now, but did he tear his arms or something for training too hard? he looks injured again.
For sure. I know that feel when you look at the winner(s) of a tournament you didn't participate and think to yourself "yeah, I would have beaten those guys." and LCW has been looking for that Gold so long. Can't grasp what he might be going through. Sport is tough...
Yeah.. but Ginting was spent throughout this AG from 3 consecutive days of team event and now 3 consecutive days of individual event before today's match. It was kind of surprising that he could make it through to SF. Can't say much about SYQ though..
He indeed should do that . CTC also needs to give some of his bonus to Ginting if he wins the final match
I know but then its a little time sadness in longer run the silvers are much more meaningful than bronze. Silver means you've been the finalist means your opponent won cause you were the Only player capable of challenging them. I think in longer run Silver Sparkels much brighter.
