Had Han Yue played Mitani, all the latter needed to do is to keep the shuttle in play long enough and bide her time to attack, and HY would be the one to make most of the mistakes, including executing loose or short returns for MM to kill off.

Yes, Han Yue is the WJC'17 runner-up to Gregoria Tunjung in a tight three-sette that could've gone either way though, iirc, it was HY who led towards the end of G3, the full score, 13-21, 21-13, and 22-24.

    You're right,She's also the AJC '17 winner.

She will turn 19 on 18th November, hence ineligible for this year's WJC.

Surprising to see only one MS and WS representative from China in the Celcom Axiata junior tournament in Malaysia. In fact its quite a small team. Could it be from one of the provinces?

I think this is the second tier junior team. All, except one, were born in 2001/2002 and should be part of the core team for next year AJC and WJC. Some have already represented China in other junior tournaments.
Di Zijian, Wang Chan and Zhou Meng (all born in 2001) will be the main players to spearhead next year team. They are not playing here.

Thank you both for the information. Its good that there is a 2nd junior team. Now all they need to show us is the under 12 and 15 teams, plus 2nd teams too. That would be progress indeed!!

They have been doing so whenever they think a player is more suitable for doubles or vice versa.

For example, Zheng Siwei and Guo Xinwa started as singles and converted to doubles; Li Wenmei and, as you pointed out, Zheng Yu, from singles to doubles. In the past, Li Xuerui started as doubles briefly and quickly converted to singles.
