I think Akane can take on Marin better than Sindhu.

Are they the same person? Even people with the same (or similar) build can have different muscle type ratios, and there are certainly differences in their movement and biomechanics too. I wouldn't write her off for losing a WC semi final......that seems a bit unreasonable to me :D

Oh please. Does Akane has the same talent or racketskill HBJ has?

Does anyone have a live streaming link? BWF streaming is blocked in the USA...

Sure the problem is obvious, but I don't have the insight to judge her efforts. I just don't think you can let go yourself being part of the Chinese (and others).
Maybe it needs more mental training or even a psychogist if it's about attitude or sth. I don't know the culture too well, from outside you get the feeling of very hard working, sancting ethics but missing the human side a bit. Just an impression!! Just look what's going on in soccer or other sports. Eyery part is addressed!

As European it's hard to get fair inside into training systems and everything around the professionals, so I'm happy if you guys share insights! Esp from Asia

I think I am missing something here, but is Marin really that bad?

Her job is to win the game; it is not to act fluffy and cute and to win over the audience.

I don't think Marin win the match because of her physical approach. It's her screaming that demolishes He Bingjiao. It's a beneficial lesson for her that not everyone is as nice as Tai Tzu Ying or Ratchanok. There are few bullies on badminton court as well.

Hope you prove me wrong. But as a CHN player with several promising and hungry juniors waiting in the wings, she can't take too long to get her act together (fitness issue) before one or other overtakes her. Thanks anyway.

I'd say her technique isnt quite as good. She has more technical oddities in her game than HBJ. It's not a night and day difference though, and I won't judge their talent. So far, Yamaguchi has had better results, so that seems to indicate she's at least as talented as HBJ, although I'd also guess she has a personality that's better suited for competitive sports (cant get much worse than HBJ from what I saw :S).

HBJ just needs to learn how to be a fighter mentally and she'll become one of the best. CM just imposed herself on that court and took over HBJ and the crowd.

Somehow I would like to see CM vs AY in the final, another clash of styles
