And Darren Liew removes the last remaining sort-of obstacle for Kento Momota in the lower half en route to the final. Well done and thank you on behalf of KM.

Fortunately, at least LD advance to the next round.
    Huh?
It's Liew Darren, not Lin Dan?
    Color me surprised.
Most MAS think there are no representative after LCW dropped out.

I would have been more upset by Srikanth losing if he had a fair chance of winning this tournament

Shi "not only always beat LD" Yuqi would have given LD a chance. LD didn't seem to try hard enough though..

A disastrous showing for IND MS, only Sai Praneeth is left holding the fort, provided he survives HKV's onslaught later today.

I expect them to not win many titles going forward, as players and coaches figure out their slightly unusual shots, tendencies etc and exploit their weaknesses more. I think Watanabe lacks the penetration to be successful longterm, but I might be wrong. ZN certainly didn't need a killer smash, although he's much better technically

As usual, Brice Leverdez doesn't confirm the performance of the day before. Classic.

And Kanta will face Daren Liew in the QF. This one should be thrilling.

I think Brice wants to take LCW or LD route as he wants to play until the age of 35.

Srikanth Kidambi skipped the Thomas Cup to prepare for WC and Asian games. He needs to become mentally tough, embarrassing to see him play like this.
Saina Nehwal played the Uber Cup and displayed tenacity and grit to make QF here.
