Also, I see an insane amount of mental burnout.

Playing the ' Perfectionist' style for almost a decade now, started playing that style back in 2011 has taken its toll.

You see Lin Dan giving up in the middle of the rally despite being in 80-20 position to win it, not changing to his BH grip, doing proper footwork because he knows it takes a lot more work to win it and it has its share of mental effect.

This style is great for less than 30 years body but unfortunately not that competitive at 35+ unless you have great physical resource and mental motivation I don't see how it can keep him in Top 10.

As Prannoy is member of this forum, i ask him to convince Sai Praneeth to retire gracefully. Waste of Public money. He enjoyed all the benefits of a National player for long time. But no use.

well I meant by the way he acted..he appeared to be an immature brat honestly...No mature players do such stuff...I have seen LCW,LD,KM etc win the most they do is take off their shirt and shout like ADULTS..no one goes on like a phony kid jumpin around as if *Oh I Defeated a Legend Yeaah Mommy*

So the best word that suits him a grown up Kid..besides he wont be maki to the finals anyways so let the kid enjoy his time.

Perhaps thats the best he will have to tell his grand kids that once he defeated an Olympic Champ the Legend Chen Long .

Nah, I was being real rather than sentimental.

Since he no longer trains physically in the national camp I don't see the scope of improvement either.

Not blaming him either. You will never find the motivation to run 5 km every day or do heavy muscle training when you have all the golds and the riches back home.

Lin Dan doesn't do even 25% of what CL, Shi Yuqi go through.

Sai Praneeth is a waste and a blot for the whole game of badminton quite honestly..Someone should ask him to leave this game for the sake of all those who love badminton.
We as Fans love Those players who win and also who lose but who Lose GRACEFULLY not like total losers.

The way praneeth is losing its like he is here to have a vacation in bali and have already booked his flights and cant wait to get out of this tournament.

Sai Praneeth isn't giving a flying 'F' to results these days.

He has made his share of money and might want to make baby now.

Wow chill out That's just a game.

Brice has been a top 30 since years, beating some of the best players.

    Can't he enjoy?
Does Chen long, lin dan, Lee chong wei never enjoy a victory against their opponents?

Lin Dan thought he could win without expending too much energy, esp after equalizing with G3 in convincing fashion, he again eased off and realized too late the opponent was determined to go all out to beat him.

That's true, physically he isn't fit enough.

But it looked to me there was still more in him than what he had showed us. We'll see.
