You need money for that thought, You gotta to pay the full price 219$ for a racket... it is kinda expensive
the geniune racket is more flexsibel....the fake one got a hard metal & not elastic.. especially when you do the jump smash
I don't care if it's fake. If it's basically a "replica" of the NS8K (close weight, specs), I'd buy it if it's insanely cheap. Sounds immoral, but that's me.
I remember when the MP100s were popular, after 2000 Sydney Olympics. A friend went to China and bought 2 fakes for USD10 each, with custom stringing. They were excellent fakes, even played decently. He still uses them today. I paid more than USD20 just to get my racket restrung!
I wouldn't buy one. As has been said, no garuantees and potentially dangerous. You can have some confidence in a genuine product as the manufacturer loses money if it is rubbish. Your thirst for cheap crap should be tempered by concern for what you might do to other players if it isn't a good replica and it breaks. How can you tell? Anyway, that's just me - and right now I don't have much money. Russki Bear
I would say that it is worth taking the risk, of buying a racket 120-150$ on ebay and hoping that it is genuine ^^
From the close pic we can see this NS8000 is wide body but not box shape...maybe they use the same model to make fake NS7000. And the grommets is far beyond genuine one...
Counterfeit NS8000 I would be more careful if I were you. A "fake" could be fine as long as the frame and shaft are made of the same type of nanofibers and highend graphite like the authentic Yonex. But what if it is only the external looks and paintwork that are copied, but the rest is made of cheap material? A few days ago, I won a bid on Ebay for a NS8000 complete with engraved serial and batch number (SP version). But when I asked the seller to provide me with REAL proof of its authenticity, he promptly issued a refund. This seller is from China. Several of his rackets are still on Ebay and people are bidding on them. Someone should inform Ebay that it is illegal to auction counterfeit rackets. Cocotte
It is Real .... From what I see, your racket is real. The cone is engraved and it does have a serial number right above the cone. From the pictures of your racket, the engraved numbers translated as Made on April 29th, 2005 in Singapore (SP). The logo that is on the cone, PBSI - it stands for: "Persatuan Bulutangkis Seluruh Indonesia" or Indonesian Badminton Association. They put the sign as it was supposedly to be sold in Indonesia only. The sign indicates that the racket is officially approved by the PBSI to be used by Indonesian badminton top or regular players.
How can you say it's real just from that information? The color from the shaft already indicate it is a fake, it's not suppose to be purple.
I just finished checking out EBAY and I am just amazed how many fakes are being sold there... the fakers provide little or no information about the racket yet people still bid on it...
i have a fake ns8k too, i love it too! It's hilarious to use, because no matter how hard to aim it never lands in where i am. It has a random path it goes. I never know where it will go, it's awesome
It's fake.Fake rackets will never be so good.I have bunch of fake rackets n they stay in my hall of shame.
Needs a proof? ... one thing that makes me believe that the racket is real is the fact that the serial numbers are engraved. You can check this link to find out more of whether a racket is genuine or not. Happy Reading! http://www.badmintonrepublic.com/fake/Fake-English.htm
