China had disastrous result in WJC individual event last year, I guess they will bounce back this November. Beside Wang ZY, their MD pair Di Zijian/Wang Chang show good progress so far.
The front runner in MS should be Kunlavut Vitidsarn, in my opinion. He rarely lose to junior players older than him and tends to perform superbly.
Lu Chia Hung routed by an unknown quantity, INA Krishna Adi Nugraha, with identity score of 21-9 in 22 minutes ?!
The next big thing from Thailand, he will turn 17 y.o. next May and the hot favourite to defend WJC title this year.
Prasetyo, who seemingly wiped the floor with Hu Yun in R1, lost to his teammate Rhustavito. Nugraha lost to MAS Tan Jia Wei.
Aaron/Soh finally able to past one of THA pair, Bodin/Phu. They have been struggling against those fast THA pairs.
Hmmm, the host Malaysia, still have representative in all events, that's almost unbelievable even for a small event
Well done, Tan Jia Wei. Too bad, he's 20 years old already, otherwise if he's still eligible for the junior championships, I'm sure he would pose a serious challenge to Kunlavut for the WJC.
Ahsan/Setiawan still going strong, with their experience, they would have no problem to beat MAS pair in straight game tomorrow.
INA WS players still stagnant and inconsistent, top-two seeded 23 y.o. Hanna Ramadini and 24 y.o.Dinar Dyah Ayustine couldn't make it to final of IC level. On the contrary, China teenager 17 years old Wang Zhiyi march on to last round, only dropped one game against her teammate Wei Yaxin at opening round, Wang will challenge 2015 WJC silver medalist Lee Ying Ying for title contention.
Aaron/Soh lost to Ahsan/Hendra 19-21 in the decider. They could have capitalized on G1 but the experienced INA pair took away the momentum. Great effort by them. Hope to see a more consistent outings in the future.
Host MAS won 2 titles (WD & XD) and losing three remaining finals to their opponents, TPE (MS), CHN (WS) and INA (MD).
Does anyone know where I can buy tickets for 2019 Korean Open SS? I'm planning my trip early as this will be my first tournament experience outside my country and I would like to know a few details
I couldn't give you any further information except the schedule for Korea Open will be at September 24-29, 2019 [Source 1][Source 2]. You could try to read the 'old' information at Korea Open website. Based on 2017 ticket order sheet, there is an email jmkim@bka.kr which you could contact to get more information. But I think you need to wait for 2019 ticket, even the 2018 Korea Open's ticket may not be available to purchase by now.
Thank you very much kind sir Might be getting ahead of myself asking for 2019 tickets when we aren't even at the 2018 event yet
