    Or that.
I got also the feeling that.. minions play a bit rushed.. Or uncalm.. there is also a lot of unforced errors..

Not taking anything out from the THA players though. They play clean.. Almost no mistakes. Which in itself.. is rare in men's doubles.

Up to INA vs CHN uber cup tie..

If INA team can upset china.. This will be a good sign for world Badminton in general.. Another nation could enter the already crazy top women's badminton world.

The Thai pair was in the zone, like some might say. :D

Yeah most of the mistakes or errors were made by minions. Especially Gideon who was expected to be the solid one and to keep minions in the game.

CHou looks like he’s waking up as they approach the interval.

I enjoy different commentators giving explanations.

Wish the volume was higher when the coaches were talking to the players

Not to take it from the thai.

Namdash is a good player. Whether he can win 10SS(BWF500 and above) then can talk.

On your first point, well that is not really the case right? If you look at the rankings immediately after rio, they were somewhere around wr10 I believe, and about half the pairs that were ahead of them retired in the months after rio (Lee yoo, ko shin, Kim Kim, fu zhang split, endo Hayakawa split, etc). Of course, they had improved and managed to leapfrog the other pairs like chai hong, Boe mogensen, goh tan, etc, and credit to them for doing so. But it was a combination of the two reasons that allowed them to have such a quick rise.

Was the combination like 20/80, 50/50, 70/30, or whatever else? We will probably disagree on the percentage, and that's fine. But saying it had nothing to do with the retirement of the old guards would seem naive, no?

How are busy people in Asia watching badminton during a work day? ;)
In this time zone, at least I’m only sacrificing sleep.

Meanwhile on court, Chou is trying to make G2 more interesting.

That is true and that is fine. No one told Lee or Kims to retire. Maybe they are just lazy eating MCDs just like some korea players after that defeat in Kuching. ( Choi eating junkfood just to vent frust after losing 2 points to AhmadNatsir). If they cant or dont want longefied, what to do.

Its badminton and new heroes have to step up.

I am sure LeeJung, KidoHendra, CaiFu rise is also because some retired players..

So prove it. by winning titles if they are good enough. and they did, but they are only half as good as minions from their gameplay.

What I meant was it was the cycle of world ranking. The old guards were on the top because the top players before them had retired or had not played internationally anymore. So you could also say that Lee/Yoo, Ko/Shin and so on were on the top because Candra/Tony, Ricky/Rexy, or who ever top pairs before had gone or split, couldn't you? I was just saying they were no1 right now because they were the better of the rest at the moment, how they would have done had the retired players were still around was not relevant.

I am surprised that China put a full team on this final group stage match.

From yesterday match, i though CYF movements looks labored and ChenJia would have been rested.
