With the World Ranking at this point, 27/4/2018, (with the BAC still ongoing and upcoming New Zealand Open or Australia Open but I don't see LD winning NZO or even if he did the ranking would probably remain unchanged)

China's TC team would most likely be :
    MS1 Chen Long
    MS2 Shi YuQi
    MS3 Lin Dan
(MD rankings are a bit tricky at the moment but no doubt)
    MD1/2 Liu Cheng/Zhang Nan
    MD1/2 Li JunHui/Liu YuChen

Looking at the stats, the chance of China winning Thomas Cup seems to be pretty promising and could be higher than the rest on paper.

CHN MD2 had been determined this week. MD1 Zhang Nan/Liu Cheng for sure and Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen also sure for being MD2. Since Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen are the defending champion at BAC. BAC result won't increase Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen's points, while Zhang Nan/Liu Cheng probably increase their points if they reach at least semifinal at BAC.

BAC/EC is the last tournament to be included in TUC team order determination.

WR dates to decide the ranking order of singles and doubles : Thursday 03 May 2018.

Can't tell until the draws for the knockout rounds are out -- every team has a few aces, but no one has an all out (5-match) advantage

hmmm i thought tommy sugiarto would be MS#3 or at least the back-up given his high mileage experience... i guess INA wants to rely on totally younglings for MS

PBSI doesn't call non-Pelatnas player, don't know exactly what their main reason. Both Ihsan & Firman have pretty much wide gap with their leading compatriots, Jojo & Anthony. If INA meet CHN or DEN and the tie hangs on 2-2, it will be tough test against (possibly) Lin Dan & Jorgensen respectively.

Every badminton lovers are bashing PBSI because of this, saying that the selection mainly done due to proudness and ego to not take players from the outside

I also can't fathom on the decision making on this case though.... The reasons given by the MS coach is not convincing at all

Doesnt matter, Indonesia will most likely be knocked out in group stage ( just like SC).

However, the least they should do is QuarterFinal.

Its difficult to win with so so Singles. Of course, they are singles that can win SS tournament with Ginting winning twice is not lousier than say SonWanHo per se, but they are not consistent type.

Yes, if Tommy Sugiarto was chosen in the last TC, Indonesia would have beaten Denmark in the final.

So Tian Houwei has retired (or was he ejected from the national team?)

Women’s team is spot on. Zheng Yu is a surprise inclusion but I think it’s the right choice. Not sure about He Bingjiao and Tang Jinhua.
