Yes maybe it is a timing issue as in a previous comment, but I just feel if I'm trying to change direction suddenly from forehand side with a quick flick of the wrist it's very hard to control the exact direction.. my problem may lie in alternating between the n9ii and my arc11.. I might need to pick one and dump the other

@Konquerian you have an ahmad bronze version right? What's your grip size written on the shaft? s2?

At least the one I have is definitely not “flexible”. Feels more mid stiff than flexible. Like a played out 7dg. Power is in different league to the Inferno EX. I haven’t owned anything similar to this except for TK9900 and N90 gen 1. Proper heavy throughout compared to the EX I had.

I love it tbh. Just hope to get something with more feel and perhaps power than ns30 on it soon. BG80 / R4X110 or even No.1.

I actually have the same Ahmad orange like yours, and the grip size does say s2. I find the grip too small for my taste, so I double wrapped it. The n9ii, or at least mine, doesn't feel flexible nor stiff. It's definitely mid-stiff as labeled. But different people have different feelings, that is why we have members who felt that it is flexible.

If you want a different feel to it, bg80 is definitely a good choice. My other n9ii was strung with bg80, and it feels amazing, second only to li ning no.5 and zymax 62 fire combo for me. However, I didn't like no.1.

Mine is actually labelled s1 and I’m damn sure it’s G6 like I have after shaving down my g5 handles. I wonder if the racket bunch we got here is different somehow from the commercial version. Took it directly from the main distributor and importer for our country.

At least the grips seem to be different. It feels a lot stiffer than what I expected after reading this thread multiple times.

    S1 is LN's label for G6.

Yeah I know which makes me wonder if there’s a slight difference perhaps like a minor tuning or something. What in the world did I actually get o_O.

The national player that plays in the club as well also shared similar thoughts. He also said it was the heaviest and most powerful racket he has tried.

Hehe I love it tho. When I unwrapped it I instantly went “holy **** I don’t have to shave this?!” :p

If only G6 was the universal everywhere smh.

n9ii is definitely not flexible but mid-stiff. I think some people were mentioning how it was flexible compared to their other stiff rackets.. ;)
I use mine with aerosonic and that's the best combination amongst Yonex strings I've found for me. Durability isn't good though...

Aerosonic is incredible but at 32 it pops at the end of or 30 minutes before every single session. Maybe I’ll try it at 28 but 66um at 32 seems just about perfect so I’ll probably just go for that again.

Interested to get n9ii but I am confused by the variants. I tried to google but cannot find the difference of n9ii vs n9ii td vs n9ii tf.
    Has anyone compared the siblings?

From what I know, the n9ii variants have different balance points, shaft stiffness, and slightly different top head shape (very subtle). I can't tell the difference in the subtle change of the top head shapes between them, but the different balance points and stiffness are as follow:

    N9ii 298mm mid-stiff
    N9ii TD 295mm mid-flex
    N9ii TF 290mm flexible

If you are interested in getting a n9ii, I suggest go for the original one to get the full experience. N9ii is an amazing racquet because i think the specs on it work perfectly together, and the head weight is just perfect.

Don't take this as criticism, it would probably have been easier explaining that they are 3 different\distinct rackets and the one being talked about in this whole thread is the N9II. The others were released later and lining positions them as the affordable way to get a feel for the premium N series.
That's my reading of it anyway. I bought a TD level racket and that's what prompted me to go "balls deep" on the next purchase with li-ning.

And it's already up for sale after an hour of play. I'm just not clicking with this one in terms of defense and if I just wanted power I wouldn't have sold my zf2 3u's / 9900 / n90 etc.

    Oh well.
