It is one cracker of a string. Beats everything for me currently at stupid tensions which is funny because gosen are supposed to not have this good of quality control.

Seriously, if you like hard feeling strings this stuff is addictive.

Do u know that Gosen was #1 badminton string manufacturer in the 80-90s? Before Yonex had BG66 that ruled the world.

Their marketing is not so good, but their products r 1st class, quality wise

All GT5. Seriously, you’ll love it no matter the tension if you like hard strings but want more repulsion and power.

Whilst I keenly await for my order to come in...
Would you say BG80 is harder or GT5?
Also, does it lose its hard properties after a week like BG80?
You've hyped me into giving hard feeling strings another go haha

BG80 is harder. It doesn't go jelly after a week like 80p. Playability is very good despite tension loss over time.

Unless you live in Swansea! I'm enjoying it enough to have bought some more to try again later at higher tension.

Hmm I’ve been trying the BG80/LN1 combo and it’s been superb, probably 1 of my favourite string combos/beats single string I’ve tested. However it does die around 2-3 for me and I require a restring. Tried the aerobite and it’s been amazing so far, crisp on every hit.

That's weird. Aerobite (SP packets) was far from crisp for me even as fresh. Two packet consecutively as well. I found 80p and Aerosonic a way better combo personally.

I bought the aerobite reel as it was on offer through Xmas. I’ve strung it 2x now on 2 rackets and they’ve both been amazing. Used for about 4h each, so cant comment too much on the lifespan. (Mine is from uk so not too sure. )

I had a go at 80p and aerosonuc before but I hurt my wrist prior so I found it unusable. I’ve got a pack of normal AS, night give it ago again.

Aerobite (SP) was very good for me as well. I'm now with AS which is slightly better but I need to check its durability. Depending on that, Aerobite might be the way to go!

Reckon bc will benefit greatly with a glossary of terms just to make sure everyone are on the same page when it comes to descriptive words... crisp, jelly, dull, lively, numb

Reviews and feedback will be so much easier to understand and verify

Can't believe it's been almost 6 weeks already on this string job. That's over 25 hrs play time, with initial frequency of 1220 Hz dropping to 1180 now.

Incredibly the playability in terms of touch, feel and repulsion has dropped only by a tiny bit despite severe notches showing on the ZM62F crosses. Surprisingly the GT5 mains don't show any signs of notching at all. That may explain the incredibly extended playability. I'm only going to restring again because I don't want to be surprised by a sudden string break on the middle of a rally.

All the benefits of GT5 with the extended playability of ZM62F... everyone should try this combo at least once!

Is pure gt5 preferable and you just add 62f for durability? I don't need durable, so I have gt5/ln3 lined up as a lightweight version of BG80/ln1.

That might be a good combo to try.

I'm just adding ZM62F for extended playability as GT5 alone starts to feel dead after around 16 hrs play when notching starts to occur especially on the crosses and also some on the mains. I don't break strings at all so durability is not a factor for me. But extended tension retention and playability are.

Good info. Thank you Mr. Ambassador! Have you tried LN1 crosses? Also, you've got thinner mains and usually hybrid uses thinner crosses - I presume gauge doesn't matter as long as mains are rough and crosses are smooth. Which is good, it opens up options for different combinations.

I'll be doing No.1 x GT5 once my DZS comes as well. Played with 80 x No.1 yesterday and was hitting some insanely loud / hard smashes. Quite satisfying this hybrid stuff.

For this stringjob I'm giving aerobite a fourth chance but this time it's the red white variant instead of new colors. Hope this doesn't turn out to be another expensive mistake.
