I like your chess analogy, just that I'm not sure if squeezing only one ball instead of two at the same time will work against Chen Long as it still hurts enough to make him angry and want to kill you. Perhaps , squeezing it a bit at a time and increasing the pressure each time while stroking it in between to make him think you're harmless and lulls him into complacency might do the trick.
