Hey guys, This thread is going of track so let's bring it back to the key man who is Lin Dan himself. Thanks Mod
Man, like ..how in the hell has Lin Dan got Jonathan Christie in the first round of China Open? Others get Hsu Jen Hao and Pam Woo Whick...Like why do this to Lin Dan?
At least getting Hsu Jen Hao is better than getting the rising Jonathan Cristie, you know youth and stamina wise.
His style of play is like that. He has that peculiar footwork, i have never seen in any player in the world. Really weird. If you play rallies with Hsu Jen Hao, he will kill you . Hsu does not like attacking player. He will lose in straight games.
First round jonathan christie will be easier for first round Lindan. That too in china. Lindan should not have any difficulty in overcome him.
Off the top of my head I remember the Canadian Ng brothers, Thomas Laybourn, and an Indian pro whose name I cant recall right now
http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/index.php?members/hs-prannoy.126932/ I'd say he's decent but then again he probably doesn't come close to your level either.
Entertaining for the first 3 pages...but getting old. Clearly nobody on BC is going to convince @Anand S from his opinion, and only a direct answer from LD/LCW themselves will suffice. On the other side, others take what's written as law, which does not generally cover "feeling" or sentiment. E.g. there are some who would argue the China National Games are the only important tournament in the world, eclipsing even the WC/OG. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and there are people with all sorts of opinions and there are bound to be people who can only go as far as "agreeing to disagree". A big part of life is realising that you will never be able to persuade everyone to your view...if only, as then we'd be a step closer to world peace! As long as people are respectful and civil, then there's nothing wrong with discussion...but it's gotten personal, so either keep it civil, or let's talk about Lin Dan himself.
Perhaps I ought to ask Prannoy on Instagram to come to this thread and post here because Anand S has requested his presence.
Although not optimal if we take into account their older encounters, wouldn't it be nicer for the fans who like to see them play each other? You know since both won't be that exhausted going into it. Just wondering about it.
