Please don't. Tomorrow, or today technically is a holiday. Might want to use that time to sleep well. Hah.
Much as I wish Lee Hyun Il to take the trophy, I've to admit it's quite a stretch, age is undeniably against the phenomenal 37-year-old. Besides, his fellow teammate Son Wan Ho is a very solid and clever player who knows his game inside out. The final is probably between Son Wan Ho and the winner of SK vs CTC as I expect the latter to overcome Vincent Wong. Then the winner is I pick Son Wan Ho who has a slight edge over SK as I recall how the former bested the latter at the Glasgow WC. Perhaps 55-45 in favour of SWH. Don't forget, SWH has just beaten an in-form Prannoy earlier.
Some pleasure watching Axelsen lose like that... Icing on the top was that he lost to Sri! The all so infamous fragile mental strength of Axelsen exposed again. Though we need to appreciate his rampant form at worlds, but probably only the last 2-3 tournaments or so defined his career as such and people had already started treating him as an established great
I was about to say, while we are predicting the winners, we are completely ignoring CTC or Vincent as contenders!
VA's mental toughness is questionable.....yet to see the match but KS must have played well to defeat him in his own den.
