I don't think Marcus string at his own shop, he maybe pass it to national stringers in Indonesia.

Looking at the number of Astrox 77s in the for sale section so soon after launch, has this racquet turned out to be a bit of a damp squib?

Probably all the people buying it and either not being able to use it or didn't think it met what they expected it to be. Pretty typical for a new YY release IMO.

Nah. The AX77 is far more user friendly in its own way, especially on the stiffness end IMO. Logically the AX88 should be following this by either AE 2018 or WC 2018.

I can't wait for my AX77, Have been waiting for over 10 days. I'm going to string it with BGAB at 24lbs. Maybe I'll do a newbie review on it.

played my 4U 77 on Monday (BG80 25lbs). When others say its very user friendly they are absolutely right. I found the stability to be great, every shot felt solid and the shuttle went near enough to exactly where i intended it to go. Around the net its fast and accurate and from the back of the court i find it perfect for me, enough weight for strong smashes but light enough to maintain control for deceptive drops. Some will say get the 3U for the smash power but i got some really great back court smashes with the 4U. The thing i like about this racket is that i feel this is a racket i can play with for a long time, it just felt right. The consistency of my shots improved, and i was trying shots i wouldnt have done with other rackets i have used. The only negative i have (if negative at all) is that mine came with a G4 grip size and i have been playing with 5U, so adjusting grip positioning had caused some difficulties especially during quick rallies, but confident i can get used to that quickly. I just cannot wait to get back on the court again and play, a racket hasnt given me that feeling for a long time. Love my AX77.

I should say astrox is a user friendly racket quite similar to the old vt70. Those higher intermediate or advance players used to stiff flex will find astrox very disappointing.

We have tried all the Astrox77 in the club and find it suitable for beginners as well as for very good players.

For hard smash and clear it feels medium stiff with extra power like a N90II. But with half power it feels stiff like a Arcsaber11. Its a little bit crazy, but i love that.

Specs are exactly the same, just color variants so there shouldn't be any differences.

Got my AX77 4U 2 days ago and played with it yesterday for an hour. Strung it with BGAB at 23x25. I absolutely love it so far. I have no regrets with this racket but maybe I should've gotten 3U considering it is a bit balanced imo. However, the 4U still packs a punch. Drives and Smashes were a treat. I'll be playing again tomorrow. Can't wait.

P.S. - I've quit badminton for half a year after playing for 2 years so I apologize If my review was inaccurate
