Oh that's just because she's a champion and great sportsperson inside through and through. Trust me this will be harder to forget than the OG
Sindhu has a really good smash and she has a strong mental game. However, there's still areas that Sindhu can improve on in her game. First and foremost, she can improve on her stamina and fitness obviously. Secondly, she can work on her footwork. Sindhu is often off balance and in general, her footwork is not as smooth as it could be for a top world player. Taller people are often off balance because they have a higher center of gravity. Having said that, I will use Chen Long as an example of a tall player who manages to keep his balance for his height. Sindhu and her coaching staff should look at footage of Chen Long and see if there is footwork that they can adapt to Sindhu's game to help keep her on balance. The added benefit of having better footwork is that Sindhu can save much of her stamina. Right now, Sindhu's height and reach mask much of her weaknesses. It's crazy that a silver Olympic medalist and an almost World Champion still has areas where they can improve immensely. But that's good news I suppose for Sindhu because if she finds ways to improve her footwork and stamina, I'm pretty sure she will come out on top the next time.
I really enjoyed the WS match with my mom and Dad, both are really disappointed with the result but I told them it's one of the greatest matches we have ever seen. Sindhu should feel really proud when she goes to bed tonight. Exhausted both her legs, arms and lungs . Add Brain, heart and back to it and we couldn't have ask for anything else.
Okuhara was still shorter than SIndhu standing on lower podium. Clearly tells us even though we're small in size but if we have a big fighting spirit like Nozomi Okuhara, nothing could stop us.
