That was a scintillating performance. Worth all the wait.

As predicted after only 2 points in the second game, well done Sindhu,
apart from the one gripe with the numpty on the chair, all's fair and the best girl win.

Sindhu was invincible today! What a performance. At the start it looked CYF would challenge her but Sindhu quickly adapted to her play. Great attack, a full repertoire of shots and creative defense. If she plays the same way tomorrow, she would certainly win.

a good performance by pvs, hope she continues where she left off today.
I hope she recovers for tomorrow, she doesn't have a lot of time for that as women's singles is the second match tomorrow. hope we have a great penultimate day in tomorrow, really to watch some fantastic matches, hopefully we won't be disappointed.

And she did it! It's also a third consecutive time that an Indian is reaching WS final in WC/OG (2015 WC, 2016 OG and 2017 WC)

    I struggled till 12.30.

Asked my friend n alarm to wake me at 1.30.
    They finally succeeded at 2.15.
    G1 was nearly over.
I struggled till end of G1.
And then slept with TV on.

Stupid organisers. Hate their own TV ratings.

LXR in 2015. So its 6-0.
Also WYH at Rio making it 7-0 in August majors.
But she has losses in AE or Dubai or in team majors like UC or SC.

His are supposed to be for the gold grand slam but I'm not sure why they're on all of the apparel.

Ha ha. India will never ever eclipse the red sun. We are iron strong, blood thick allies. The Indian Wheel of Dhamma and the Red Sun will rise together over the horizon.

Today's matches were quite surprising, specially the singles. MD was also strange, I would not have thought Ashan/Sap. would have taken it so easily.

Human beings are emotional, look at Axelsen, how many times have you seen it and say ''let it go'',
i am a big fan of his and always thought his day would come, it could be today.

Look gringo's (and a few here have reared their heads to gloat),
i am not saying for a minute that one incident shaped the outcome of the whole match,
but in the spirit of sport and fair play, it wasn't ''cricket'' and Sindhu didn't conduct herself in the spirt either,
she knew and shuold have owned up, then to needled CYF over the net.....well,
honest i wish her well today and you guys can rejoice till the monsoon comes.

Yebbit for me it's got to be the blue riband events MS and WS, in that our great LD might come unstuck today.

I think LD will win in 2 sets if he takes the first game.

    SF round-up

So we're down to just one court today

    IMG_2713.JPG

so it should be treated with respect. Some would say even with

    IMG_2718.JPG

    ...reverence.

Ahsan and Saputro are in wonderful form this week, and Kamura/Sonoda couldn't find a way past them this time

The most interesting contest of the day was Nozomi vs. Saina. Saina's game plan worked perfectly in G1, aided by superb accuracy. Nozomi began to find form and range in G2, and by G3 she was cruising. Fascinating to see Nozomi adapt her game to the situation.
