Kirsty needs to learn to be more mentally strong. Did so well but perhaps due to tiredness she lost her composure and drifted away from the game plan.

So happy SN ends her big drought to win something finally, has been really tough times for her lately, and she deserves every bit of it.

Also a lil sad for Kirsty she looked as if she would cry, it meant so much to her, if only she was against anybody else, I would be jumping hoping praying for her. Nonetheless massive improvement, we would love to see more of you in the upcoming tourneys.

Well, she should have gone to SF if she had not screw up 17-13 lead in the first set. But she lost nonetheless. Good game KG.

Exactly, nobody expected her to outclass HBJ (well not exactly, these days anybody can def her :p )) and never ever expected her to give so much tough time to SN.
She might be the most improved player of the year, if she continues this in the upcoming SS tourneys

Didn't SJH screwed that up, or rather SN crawled back up alarming the inner demons of her opp., Kirsty was fab today, regardless of anything and everything

chai biao wearing the allen iverson shooting sleeve...

first the socks, now the sleeves. we're not too far away from the all-over compression bodysuit.

excuse me, do you scuba dive?
    nope. badminton.

I look it as self unforced errors. At 17-all, her net shot failed. Well, good game by her, still.

she was this close. im rebuking only her faults, the silly shortcomings.
she has a lot of scope for improvement depiste being such a high ranked player. in other words, with just a few simple corrections, she can climb much higher - and stay there. i wonder how bad she feels, poor girl! i'll root for her next time :)

Yeah that one was bad, almost equally as heart breaking as KS's shot into the net at 18-19

notice the 5 stars on the chinese jelly bean uniforms?

some stars are red. i'm guessing a red star signifies winning a tournament, of any pro level.

    chai biao has 1 red
    hong wei has 2 red
    lin dan has 5
    haven't seen others yet.

...or does anyone out there know if they mean anything at all?

SY had 4, back when WSX played she had 4 as well (yellow then) , I can't remember properly but LXR had 5

PS I think it's something related to the success they have achieved, GC was stupid enough to quote it as LD's 5 WC titles

Number of golds in different events, SS don't count of course.

i guess its the first time that India is guaranteed of two medals at world championships. Tough challenge for both the players at Semis.

i've never noticed the stars before at other tournaments. maybe it's only during wc? i think it's a cool idea.
it's not an unreasonable assumption if you only saw ld and a couple others.
