    Agree with the commentator, whoever he is, Ryan Ng looks every bit as tired as the much older Nguyen TM, to the veteran's credit

    For the JPN side, I'd expect the following lineup:

    MS - Kenta Nishimoto (is Kanta Tsuneyama available? If yes, I'd try him);
    WS - AkaneYamaguchi, somewhat more solid than Nozomi Okuhara atm, imo;
    MD - still Sonoda/Kamura, the best JPN MD pair, imo;
    WD - who else but Matsutomo/Ayaka;
    XD - Watanabe/Higashino since they didn't get to play today as they didn't have to, or they may try a different pair.

    Experience triumphed, Nguyen Tien Minh delivered for Vietnam; there's really no substitute for experience.

    He was just lucky that his opponent had a lot worse stamina. TMN is a runner, if he meets an aggressive player with stamina he will get steamrolled.

    It was a lost cause the moment Ryan lost to NTM.

    Alas, two of our better WS were not fielded for whatever reasons. I would think probably they were injured.
    But even then, it will be difficult to get past NTM's wife.

    Does it hint that the air quality in less developed Vietnam is somehow better than in the megacity Singapore? :D:p

    MUST BE!! For even though a team has good resources but if the strategists make the wrong decision in deciding the right lineup, the team may be doomed!! The good learning case is the INA team in this tournament.

    I'm surprised at the cvhoice of Grace Chua instead of either Yeo Jia Min or Liang Xiaoyu whom I think stands a better chance of taking on the Viet WS Vu Thi Trang.

    Many peoples says that INA should field the team against denmark for india, than the result would be different

    I do wonder whether there is any promotion & demotion crossing groups in Sudirman Cup?
    Any chance for the top dog of Group 2 to play in Group 1?

    There will be no groups for the next Sudirman Cup. All teams can go for the Cup.

    The host ties with CAN 2-2 therefore the badminton cutie, Gronya SOMERVILLE, gets chance to show up in XD.

    The very moment of the great-great-granddaughter of Kang Youwei to show her contribution to the team.

    AMAZING, the dedicated Zhangyu TV is still streaming the very last match!!!

    REALLY? If ALL mixed together then how many matches within the Group Match?
    But cannot imagine the elite teams are facing the lesser ones, they will just be uninteresting massacre, not fun to watch!

    Like seedings in superseries tournaments? Then it will be fun. All the lower ranked teams will have to leave the arena in the Round 1 itself . I don't think it will be a good idea for those who spent so much money to bring players just to go back within one day( For e.g.. If England could not participate, let alone Sri Lanka, Vietnam etc.)

    Must thumb up all the players for playing all out, energetically in a dynamic match... tho Michelle Li looks rather exhausted for playing twice

    A Butterfly Dream !?
