India vs Indonesia will be an interesting match. India will take WS and MS whereas Indonesia will beat India in MD and XD. So, the result will be decided by WD match. Without Nitya in Indonesian team, India has a good chance to win the match. If Shindu plays in WD, I am sure India will win the match.
Kenta Nishimoto is JPN current leading MS player and most likely he will be fielded in group-stage & knock-out stage matches meanwhile the less experienced Yu Igarashi is reserved player. INA-IND clash will be crucial tie to determine their Sudirman Cup journey. Denmark is favoured to top group 1D with more balance squad, only WS is their weakest link.
Wouldnt be so certain about the MS with IND MS being incredibly inconsistent....and I see no reason why Sindhu playing WD should suddenly boost doubles so much. She's a singles player and it shows, a good pair would abuse her weaknesses for days. JPN should win all doubles vs IND, MD and WD very clearly (90-10 favorites).
I don't understand why you are dragging JPN here. I think the post above was talking about IND vs INA.
The post above mine was (in part) about IND vs JAP ♂️ Anyhow, IND have a good chance of winning the MS against IND. I'd say 60-40 in favor of IND. WS is IND's to take, MD and XD are clearly INA's. WD could very well decide that match, and I'd favor INA about 70-30 there with IND always lacking in doubles and not fielding JG (I really cant explain why she was successful the last couple of years, but she was their only decent partner for AP).
Everyone here is underestimating IND but no one can predict the outcome of a team events. IND can prove to be an underdog. IND is weak in doubles but you can not underestimate them.IND is far better in doubles department as they earlier were. Sent from my 1201 using Tapatalk
News from the Indian Team is optimistic, they are looking at DEN and INA as beatable! It is good to dream and hope. Upsets are caused only when you believe. Yes, on paper India doesn't stand a chance but nothing is impossible!
Shin Seung Chan won't be there but Chang Ye Na will be there to partner Lee So Hee. Shin's partner Jung Kyung Eun will be there, along with Chae Yoo Jung and Kim Ha Na, the last two more likely to feature in mixed doubles.
I just realized Anthony Ginting is the MS starter. I wonder why they didn't put in Jonatan? Doesn't he have a more positive record against Indian MS?
What No SSC?? ? I admit CYN/LSH have recently outshine SSC/JKE but in a team event pairs who have proved themselves on big events help much more. Plus only SSC currently can take on other top pairs in XD. IN the absence of KSH, KHN is feeble
chae/choi are currently the top XD pair? other than KSH/KHN..? SSC hasn't got any great results for XD so i don't know why you think she'd be better than chae?
And Then There Were None..., Badzine news article => http://www.badzine.net/2017/05/and-...yoo-and-kim-complete-korean-doubles-sign-off/ Yoo Yeon Seong, Kim Gi Jung also call quit from Korea national team, no wonder that we didn't see their name in KOR Sudirman Cup squad. And Then There Were None, what a catchy title, borrowing Agatha Christie's famous detective novel
The banned period is over. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean that Kento Momota will automatically be right back into international tournaments and in fact, the internal rules of Japanese badminton may mean that his comeback to the biggest international tournaments won't be until 2018. http://www.badzine.net/2017/03/post-comeback-complexities-for-kento-momota/
It depend on their motivation. I could burn their motivation too since it means they should become a national champions before he/she become a national player again. But, yes itsn't easy.
The tournament is named after Sudirman, an Indonesian. The Cup is named after **** Sudirman, a former Indonesian badminton player and the founder of the Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI). Read the Wikipidia
