This partnership can prove to be a good one like the Thailand pair of dechapol/sapasiree.

Ashwini isn't like Sapsiree in her peak days she wasn't as good in XD as JG because she's more of a smasher and the one who loves Back court. The same reason why LYD kinda struggled in immediate past in XD
Also we have seen although Satwik can follow up and end rallies from Front during his partnership with Maneesha he hasn't got the at least (70%Back C and 30%Front C) comfortability.
    That's why Sikki/Satwik could've been way better.
But since Sikki/PJC can improve further y jeopardize their chances. And equip AP with a stronger partner.
    Let's see if it works

It's official, Prannoy is out of the Sudirman Cup. He can focus on training for Indonesia SSP.

Cool. I hear Manu and Sumeeth just do not gel off court. Hardly play together. They just look awkward playing together.

PV Sindhu making waves in Yonex Chinese Advertisements.

    Link: https://www.insidesport.co/sindhu-occupies-prime-space-chinas-brand-market/

    Excerpt:
Brand Icon PV Sindhu is dominating the Chinese badminton brand market now.

Occupying more commercial space than the Chinese badminton armada. Appearing in larger than life drop down creatives on the Metro stations in China.
Sindhu is the brand ambassador for Yonex.
Yonex has opted Sindhu to be the face of its aggressive marketing campaign in China. India’s badminton princess in the latest Yonex campaign stands taller than any Chinese badminton icon. The Japanese brand is also endorsed by the undisputed king of world badminton – Lin Dan. But it’s Sindhu who has become the first choice for Yonex to promote its brand in the land of Lin Dan.

So there goes my doubts about Ashwini/Satwik yeah individual tourneys are different and AP is more or less a team event player. But yeah, I would like to see them pairing ASAP
Also want to see AP/Sikki to grab some spotlight in upcoming tourneys they were really good today

Tan Kim Her is following rotation for XD and MD players. I would also like to see Ashwini/Satwik against INA but they want both the pairs to gain exposure.

The real reason is that China Team players are sponsored by Li Ning including Lin Dan in team events. LOL.

And even in individual events he has to wear Li Ning clothes and cant show a Yonex logo :D

On a different note, very surprised by India's doubles performance vs Denmark. I was really impressed that the new XD guy managed to take Fischer/Petersen to 3 games - much, much better than the last one they fielded (that chubby short guy).
I also expected BoMo to thrash their MD under 10, which didnt happen either. We'll see in the future whether this was just a relatively weak perfoemance by the Danes or whether these players can indeed play well on an international level :)

But Ponappa was the one really standing out in both matches, XD and WD. I was always her fan but yesterday she was beyond my expectations. I am happy she found partners to match her skills. They could go into top 10 if they continue in that fashion.

Couldnt see the full matches, only the highlights, but from what I remember, she was very decent (but not outstanding) in WD and mediocre at best in XD...interesting that you see an improvement there. Again, we'll see in future tournaments how substantial that improvement is.
