Nonstop early round exits by this prodicigiously ultra talented pair what's going on?!!

Personal issues between the pair like how GVS had with LKW??

Their problem is low confident and too many mistakes. How can that be, really?
They end 2016 at the top with the Dubai Finals title and suddenly things go downward.

Don't think so, they have the talent but can't convert it into consistency.
Both of them had medal wins in their junior days, in Asian and World Junior.
Basically, they have no confident and have talent.

Goh/Tan have what it takes, just not the determination and confidence.
I don't mind to ask but how can you say they are overrated?

^ Some people would say they were just lucky to get silver at Rio and win the Dubai SSF...

I guess 'lucky' can beat Lee/Yoo, Fu/Zhang and Chai/Hong at RIO?
They would have won gold if not for Fu/Zhang who got lucky instead.

Three easy mistakes from 20-19 cost them well.
It was Fu/Zhang who got lucky due to Goh/Tan's mistakes.
It was Fu/Zhang who got lucky due to Kim/Kim's bloody selfdestruct.

My above photos about Goh V-Shem's wedding provided the actual answer to everyone who are curious why they exited in early round of SSP & SS.

GVS is busy preparing for his BIGGEST moment in his life for the past few months, hence it affected his performance and training. Give them another 2 months, they shall rise again.

of all the 5 events, MD level is the closest, even top pairs are not too far ahead of the rest, once your strength and weaknesses are identified, very difficult to maintain the winning momentum.

I sort of feel that they lost their fire to kill everybody on court. Their games during Olympics was the best. They were fast, vicious, initiate to take the shuttle first. But things start to slow down after that. Denmark and Dubai was due to bit of luck as Lee/Yoo and Fu/Zhang retired, IIRC, Hiroyoki/Hayakawa retired as well from these 2 tournaments.

They are obviously slower this year and with their strategy being picked up by their opponents, their results spells disaster. It's such a waste if their legacy ends here and now. Being their fan since Thomas cup in Delhi, this makes me very sad.....
