It seems to me that Ricky/Angga need to improve the speed for the transition from lifting shuttle at the front and back to deff at mid court.

Ricky/Angga needs to work on their smashing power too. They rarely defeat Li/Liu from their smashes. It is so often that their point coming from flat drive exchanges which result in easy to kill shuttle.
or maybe they are not feeling well, too tired or something, thus smashing power depreciate. Their speed was also slower or perhaps it is a strategy..

Singapore are very strict, too strict that it dilutes the fun.

About 15 to 20 years ago, we went to watch a football match at the old National Stadium. The final was between Malaysia and Vietnam or Thailand. We were very excited. My friend brought along the Malaysia flag, only the cloth, without poles. We were prevented from bringing it in. Later in the stadium, there was a fan wearing a Malaysia flag t-shirt and he was asked to remove it too. This is so ridiculous.

Nowadays you see so many fans with their national flags.

How did Lee Dong Keun overcome Jonatan Christie in two straight games (no livestream to watch) ? Or how did he deal with JC's speed and aggression in attack and counterattack, limit his attacking opportunities ? I guess, young rising stars really need time to build consistency, esp when playing experienced opponents.
