Although second thoughts crawled in when SJH narrowed the 7pt lead to 2, PVS nailed the decider.
Great match, and dear was it long and exhausting...

Rematch against Caro tomorrow, gonna be tough.

Do you find it offensive? Indian crowds are loud, noisy and passionate. The atmosphere is similar to the Istora in Indonesia!

And the reactions u get to see when they find out themselves on the screen are fun.

Plus for all those guys who didn't watch the match, do watch it, not for PVS or SJH but for that old guy kinda belly dancing when PVS almost won. :D

I was in the stadium and even there everyone was watching him. The person next to the cameraman was giving the old man a nudge, whenever Sindhu won a point, to dance like a lunatic.

It's amusing that you can barely hear Marin screaming her head off because the crowd has her outmatched haha. The final should be intense.

You got me wrong. I am not referring to the crowd. I am talking about the camera. The focus should be more on the players and the game.

So we are going to get winners from different countries again!

But in MD, WD and XD, unfortunately the finalists are from the same country. Would have been better if they don't play against their compatriots.

Doubles category will involve two finalists from same nations, Indonesia has secured MD crown, it's exactly last year final rematch, defending champion Gideon/Sukamuljo will face Pratama/Suwardi, the world number one pair are favoured to top podium once again considering their excellent performance lately including how they eliminated Danish combo Conrad/Kolding yesterday with fast furious attacking style. Japan bags WD title through Fukuman/Yonao against Tanaka/Yonemoto who battled hard to stun top-seed and Rio bronze medalist, Jung KE/Shin SC that ended with 21-16 / 19-21 / 24-22. All Chinese finals will see Zheng SW/Chen QC-Lu K/Huang YQ face off, world number one Zheng/Chen got free final ticket as Goh Liu Ying fell ill and conceded walkover while Lu/Huang outclassed The Adcocks in two straight-games victory in last four.

Two interesting clashes in singles category certainly draw more exciting atmosphere in today's final day, Viktor Axelsen has bright porpect to reach better outcome this time after failed twice in two previous finals here. The tall Dane exhibited his superb form to dispose Angus Ng Ka Long in semifinal, the hardest obstacle en route to finale was coming from Wang Tzu Wei at last eight. The in-form Chou Tien Chen is back afer experienced struggling performance along last season, he ended the explosive Anders Antonsen journey here.

Save the best for last as the organizer put WS showdown to close final round, a rematch of Rio Olympic final Carolina Marin will meet home darling Pusarla V.Sindhu. Marin was too fast and strong for Akane Yamaguchi and the Spanish sensation look well motivated to end title drought since won Olympic Gold medal last August. Sindhu was stretched into tight battle to defeat Sung Ji Hyun, the Korean made brief comeback after trailed behind in deciding game 6-11 to 10-12 but Sindhu was unstoppable to outmaneuvered Sung and nailed final ticket, 21-14.

    LIVE TV COVERAGE (02.00pm) :

    1) Shiho Tanaka/Koharu Yonemoto (JPN) v Naoko Fukuman/Kurumi Yonao (JPN)
    2) Zheng Siwei/Chen Qingchen (CHN) v Lu Kai/Huang Yaqiong (CHN)
    3) Chou Tien Chen (TPE) v Viktor Axelsen (DEN)
    4) Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (INA) v Angga Pratama/Ricky Karanda Suwardi (INA)
    5) Carolina Marin (ESP) v Pusarla V. Sindhu (IND)
