I just tried on an S5 Neo and it didn't detect any sound though a new update came out like a week ago and I haven't installed it yet.
I have Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and I downloaded this app. Nothing happens, I can choose the option regarding racket shape and string gauge but then nothing registers. What am I missing? I've tried reinstalling it and also tried pinging at different places but nothing. You're not missing anything! It's still a problem in the app itself. It's unable to detect sound in some handsets (possibly devices running kitkat & lollipop only) and I have been unable to find a solution yet. If possible, try the app on Marshmallow. AFAIK, the app is stable on that version.
It seems that way for now, until I find a solution. I have tried every way to fix this issue, but still no luck. I'll keep trying though, while I'm working on new features.
Bummer as Samsung won't update the note 3 above 5.0 as it's a 2013 phone model and already on the latest update as provided by them. Kindest regards, -Ajay- Quote of the Day Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.
Works flawlessly on Android 6.0, LG G3. Racket tested: Apacs Nano 009 Power: Strung at 26; Measured: 26.48lbs Oliver Cytec 600: 24lbs 6 mths ago Measured: 21.33lbs Apacs Lethal 70: Prestrung at 25lbs Measured: 22.6lbs Gosen 6900 Boonsak:27lbs Measured: 26.XX lbs App sometime opens but string tension and frequency set at 0.0. May need reboot phone to work again
I've tried this several times. But, still not sure it's been work well or not.... Please, give me procedure step to work optimally with this Apps... I really eager to share with my colleague for a bit fun reference
Step 1. Select the racket head shape. (Oval or Isometric) Step 2. Select string thickness. For e.g. BG 65 is 0.70mm thick, Nanogy 99 is 0.69mm thick. To find out your string thickness, check yonex site or a simple google search will reveal the answer Step 3. Hit the racket face on the base of your palm. Hit firmly! Make sure you hear a crisp metallic sound. A dull sound means you are not hitting firmly enough. You could also try hitting the racket face with something like a screwdriver as shown in this video: I hope this helps!
Tried the app again on a 6P and it works. The app didn't work on an older phone running an older Android OS. I would suggest not hitting it with a screwdriver or palm. Instead strum across the long area of the racket net with your fingernail. I have been able to easily repeat the readings instead of hitting it hard on the palm. As in a previous post, I highly recommend a setting to input the string brand/model, it's hard to remember sometimes the thickness. People can reports on rare strings and you/developer can update and input the data as ongoing improvements.
Hey. When I press the link that kagautam posted here, in this forum discussion, I am not directed to a playstore. Did the dev removed the app from the app store? Could someone please tell me how the app is called so that I can look it up on playstore myself, please?
