the World Championship in Badminton is an individual tournament (mixed nationality pairings are allowed). So not any national anthem should be played.
Oh, they have changed it to every two years? I think that's a good move to make the WC title even more special. But anyway, it's a serious loss for any big tournament out there if TTY is missing.
Sorry. I thought it was changing to every two years. Not sure where I got the idea from. But there is a recent announcement from BWF that Nanning city is bidding for 2018 world championships
i would be very surprised if national anthem of the Republic of China will be played by the BWF even if TTY were to win in Glasgow (assuming she goes there).

What a nail biter final against Carolina today in Malaysia. Badminton can hardly get any better than what TTY was showing especially in the decider. Incredible speed, precision, variability, deceptions, big smashes, you name it. I wonder what is still to come from her, seriously. And I would bet that CM vs. TTY will be the big competition for the upcoming months (years?). If only CM could change her attitude on court just a little...
