^^^ I don't know what others think but I find that English commentator extremely annoying.

Lol... he's John Burgess. Can be a bit noisy. But he means well. Makes it entertaining. A change from the usual Gill/Steen combo.

Better than some Chinese commentators who talk about stuff totally unrelated to the match at hand.

Yes noisy is one way of describing him, to me, it's just noise! The stuff he comes out with is just cringe-worthy. He sounds like he's just turned up for work after a few drinks and comes out with all sorts of cr@p.

Well no one's gonna say 'I'm just using brute force because my technique sucks', you know? Not that his technique is bad at all, but his self-image is really irrelevant to this :D
Basically you'll always see who relies on strength and their arm a bit more than others - those with a noticeably bigger racket arm. Examples would be FHF, Lee Hyun Il, Kenichi Tago,...
Again, not saying that FHF doesnt have great technique on his smash, but compared to TBH in particular it's a bit more strength based and the entire motion is a tad less explosive. My guess would be that Tan had faster pronation, which allows for more explosiveness and faster racket head speeds compared to someone who uses their arm and upper body to create a more linear swing.

As I remembered, he launched his own brand when he was sponsored by Victor, and I don't think he could picture himself with Yonex anytime soon in the future. Nothing can be too early or too late when we cannot predict it.

thats was when victor was a national sponsorship, yonex was a individual contract, having YD SPORTS out is untimely , not a mistake. seeing how he is gonna be using yonex gear is gonna affect business

I wonder how much exposure Yonex will get with LYD now that he is no longer playing in the SS and majors. And could this new sponsorship potentially change his mind to come out of retirement and play as an independent player?

A LYD + FHF pairing would be invincible! LOL

FHF is retired defintely while lyd has no intentions of playing independently in the SS , so for lyd to take a year or two to decide will be too late for FHF to make a comeback

Hmmm, so possibly a shotgun wedding decided his (early) retirement...

    "Morning News

One of the world favourite badminton player Korean Men Doubles player Lee Yong Dae is going to tie the knot with his 6 years girlfriend Byun soon. Another exciting news to the couple is they are also expecting their baby this spring (very soon).

    Cute...

Could be planned, afterall they've been going steady for 5-6 years... 6 is Korean logic though, but doesn't make much difference.

At least they look fitting for each other, cute couple face...
