This is prob a stupid question but I suppose there is no much difference between these models? Prob just the difference in color and model year?

    tks

I asked this a while ago. I was told the main difference is that the progression is coated in plastic, and that the X6-FC feels sturdier. So I paid the extra $15 or whatever it was for the X6-FC.

Seems to be holding up pretty well so far. I've used an old prince machine a couple of times, but aside from that this is really the only one I've ever used.

I got it from atssports. It's down in the states somewhere. Pittsburgh maybe? There's another store in Canada that sells them but it was cheaper to get it from the states when I bought mine a few months ago.

They are the same machine with a different base design, the blue one is extruded aluminum, and the red one is cast.

I have the blue one since it looks a bit more modern, I have the version with the electronic tension head, and it has extra drawers on the sides for more storage. I'm not sure if the drop-weight has the extra drawers, but they are definitely useful!

That's right. What I found the bad thing about the Progression is that red plate that covers the base structures - it's made of plastic which just feels cheap. I would also invest the couple of bucks extra and go for the X6-.FC

The drop weight X6-FC does have a drawer in the base of it.
