Hi guys (in Asia), I want to know the current market price in Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, China, etc.) for following rackets in Singapore or Chinese version: Armortec 700 Armortec 800 OFF Armortec 800 DEF NanoSpeed 7000 NanoSpeed 8000 Can you tell me? I will have trip to Asia soon and plan to buy some rackets for myself Thank you in advance. Marc
Bought my NS8K in Spore for $349 and comes along with a bag.. Heard that it's cheaper to get it in Bras Basah complex, costs ard $270.. However the sales promoter told me that it's cheaper in Indonesia or Thailand due to the lower living standard... Most important is to get a real racket!
Hi Kenny, thank you for the information. Is your racket SP or CH version? which grip size and weight class? Was it strung or unstrung? if strung, with which string? to all: Any other kind guy would tell me the price of other rackets? Marc
Your answer (Singapore) can be found in this thread. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15401&page=9&pp=18
based on what i've seen and heard, the place with the lowest prices for yonex rackets are in thailand. here in the philippines the TH version is only 1/3 of the price of the JP versions. i'm sorry but i couldn't help you with the specific prices of the rackets you mentioned though.
It's a SP Version.. It's a 3U, G5.. It's strung with BG-66 but not sure what's the tension so I get it restrung
Wow! Sooooo cheeeaaapp! *faint* Is there anything in Thailand that more expensive than in Germany? A friend of mine working in tourism branch said, all things about tourism (included "adult entertainment" *cough*) in Thailand are cheaper than in Germany. Maybe I should make stop in Bangkok for 2 days ... for the rackets, of course Marc
Unlike ze other germans you mean Wonder how much in Indo? Then I can send my uncle shopping or not coz then it might be fake ones
That is the reason why I go shopping by myself for "anything" since I can touch, see and feel .. the racket, of course I doubt that there are still fake rackets in Thailand, because the price of original ones is so low yet. Is there any Indonesian people in this forum? Please let me know the price, if there is any. Marc Btw, are the germans so popular for such thing in Thailand? Amsterdam is also super city if I am not wrong
Have to come and see. FAKE or REAL Price too low you shold compare with when you eat for lunch how much you pay in your country but here you will full with 30-40 baht.
Thank you Thailand for the low price genuine Yonex rackets. I recently bought the AT700 and NS7k and am waiting for the NS9k.......if it comes.....
Yeah, 2 weeks ago I went around the National Stadium (I think the shop name was FIRST) and the NS8000 was BHT3000++ and the AT800 was between BHT2900-3300, couldn't quite remember. Anyhow, I might go again this weekend and I'll check for you guys. Anyway, all equipment are cheap there. Stupid me got my CAB21 from the Mall at the discounted price of 2,990 (normal price 3600) but at the National Stadium is 2,400 and I haven't even bargained with them!
Marc, maybe i can help you out for Indonesia.. actually racket prices in Indo(Jakarta or Surabaya or other cities) are actually the same or roughly the same, could be cheaper, as in other countries. If you are talking REAL GENUINE rackets though, you can go to any stores and they sell them. BUT if you are going to buy them there and planning to bring it back to Germany, you might not get any warranty with those rackets.. If you actually go there, there are 2 types of stores you can go in Indo: 1. is the regular pop/mom shops or individual sporting goods store either in mall or regular shop or 2. in a general department stores. I've been looking around to see the prices the last time I went back, and they're roughly the same price as the original ones as sold in other countries. Of course, there are fake ones(almost anywhere and usually they come from China) and if you are not familiar with the rackets' characteristics, you might go "ga-ga" and purchase cheap but fake racket(s).. If I were you and planning to go to Indo, i would spend my dough on shuttles and/or strings(you could get a fairly cheaper price there). For shuttles, you can get good ones from $3-$10(there are Mikasastar, get the ones with separate tubes in package of 6/tube, or Garuda or Gajahmada or Saxon and a bunch of other local brands), that might cost $18 in other countries. There are also Yonex strings, which you could buy at bargain price. Also if you buy any shuttles, get a faster speed ones, as the ones sold at the store are basically made for playing in Indo(which is very humid thus the shuttles' speed might be different if you are going to bring them back to Germany). And if you buy in bulk(boxes), you could get really good deal. Don't forget, in Asia as you know, you can BARGAIN with the store owners(preferably the pop/mom ones)... Maybe aiyuuw or other posters living in Indonesia can help Marc with the actual price(s)??.. Anyway, best of luck to you in your travel wherever you go and hope you can find good deals..
Ok. Went to National Stadium on Saturday but coz of my stupid short memory, couldn't remember the exact prices except for the NS8000. These prices are from FIRST sports which is probably the cheapest. NS8000 is THB 3,660 NS7000 is a bit cheaper AT800 is a bit cheaper than the NS7000 All are above THB 3,000 Don't know why they can sell the NS8000 so cheap though. Yonex SuperGrap is THB130/pack RSL ACE shuttlecocks THB385 (but THB760 if you buy 2) Yimnex (red) THB370 Cheers!
Jeez...I actually forgot to ask that. But anyway, grips are pretty cheap. Yonex SuperGrap BHT130 Yonex MeshGrap BHT239 (or around that) Yonex Wave Grip BHT150 Kimony Wave Grip BHT160 And strings aren't so expensive as well BG65 is THB100++ (sorry, can't remember)
Didn't notice any Excel Grips. Saw some Gosen grips but didn't look at the price. Will have to wait regarding prices of BG66 and BG85. Will check for ya when I get the chance to shop around again.
