I wouldn't recommend to drop tension on BG66UM in this example. Its drop is really bad compared to BG80P. Hard feel vs. Soft feel and the better repulsion of BG66UM should even it out.

Sounds like a guest in a bordello who talks to his friend. ;)

I have tried a couple of different colors of the LN1 (white, yellow, black, light blue) and haven't noticed any difference in feel whatsoever. I like having yellow strings on my rackets, that's why I've just ordered a second yellow reel at e1981. First time I've ordered there, everything went smoothly, shipping was quick. Else there is always MBS to help you out.

What does surprise me regularly is that yellow strings fit so well into so many different racket color schemes. I also have a reel of yellow BG80, so I would say that 80% of my customers receive yellow strings - and I haven't had a single complaint about the looks yet, more the other way round. Personally, I found that it looks a bit meeeh on the standard black-orange-green Doura10, but the owner loves the combination.

Smoof also has No. 1 reels, but they're more expensive. Last time I've ordered from e1981 I got the reel in 2 days (!) without having to pay customs.

If there is a racket that begs for hybrid stringing, it's Duora 10:

BG80P orange for the forehand side, and BG66UM green for the backhand side :)

Not useful for now. But AliExpress do some sales. The last one was on 11/11 and I think a reel of LN1 was below 70.

How do you all think about the durability of the LN#1?
I have now tried it out three times on a couple of my own rackets and one time on a client's racket.
(Tensions has been between 24-26 lb)

All 4 times, the string quickly got dents in the crossings on the mains, and has broken after 20-30 hours of play.
All breaks was on main-string, and was broken in one of the dents...

Both the client and I are not used to break strings after so "short" lifetime.

For reference, the client are used to get his racket strung with BG80P, and I normally go with that same and BG66UM on the different rackets.

The LN-strings was bought thru the Danish officiel Li-Ning shop, and was single sets (not reel) in both yellow and red.
The packages was purple and "made in China".

Mmm the sets I've used have all come with black packaging. I've heard there's a small production difference.

I've seen one person notch it - a county grade player. Only seen one player outright break the string at 25lbs.

It's a tough string to mess up in my experience.

Anyone tried this Li-Ning no. 1 on a Lin Dan force 4U? If so, what would be a well recommended tension?

I can't speak for that racket, but in general it does better with higher tensions. Any thing under 11.5kg feels bad to me. Really starts to shine around 12kg.

Right has anyone done a proper side-by-side of black packet versus purple packet Li Ning string?

The official Li Ning shop, and e1981, seem to sell black packaged string.
People in this thread have reported black is CHN and purple is SP.

Everything I reported on the string was based on the black packet string. I want to do a proper side-by-side of the purple and the black versions. @DuckFeet sent me some No.1 off of his reel, which he thinks was purple packaging. To be absolutely sure, I'd really appreciate it if someone could send me some No.1 off of a purple reel/purple packets. I intend to order some black packets.

On a feel, and this is really subjective because of weather conditions etc., the purple packet stuff feels less 'sharp', less bitey, and a bit thicker. I want to make absolutely sure though, so I want to do a side-by-side.

If anyone else has done a side-by-side I'd be really interested to hear your experiences.

Only tried LN1 in yellow and it's excellent.

However, have tried LN3 in white, yellow, red and blue and...
    +White is definitely the best
+Red and Yellow are comparable, not as good as white, not as crisp or as easy to string.
+Blue is terrible, it's like another string, it performs OK but has this waxy coating and frays after a few hours of play and the durability is terrible.

    Go figure.
